Haha... that was my team name in the National Bike Challenge last year so you know I like it.
-
I think I'll kick off the challenge with a June 1st 100k ride.
-
So... a June ride challenge? Sounds good to me. :)

Shin splints are a burning type of pain up the front of your leg (shins). If you ever do experience shin splints, they say walking on your heels for 5 minutes or so at a time will help. Hope whatever you have starts feeling better soon. Probably just sore muscles from the walking. Make sure you stretch properly too.

I use this too and it tastes great! I eat peanut butter almost every day. Love it!

Do I see a new profile pic?

Winds are supposed to be much calmer here today. The last several rides I've been on have been very windy.

I was rolling down a hill at about 35 mph yesterday and a crosswind about took me out. I got that funky handlebar shake. That would have sucked!

There is nothing more beneficial aside from eating healthy that you can do to start burning fat than to lift weights and build muscle. Cardio is beneficial to your health as well but will not burn fat very effectively. That's why they focus so much on weight training on the Biggest Loser. Muscle burns fat. The more muscle…

^^^ I have to agree with this 100%. I started out running in Nike "running" shoes. I ran in them for a couple years. I just recently bought a pair of real running shoes and I can not believe the difference. I bought some shoes called HOKA One One and I have never felt anything like this on my feet before. My times have…

It's actually easier to run in the cold. Just dress like it's 20 degrees warmer so you don't overheat once you're warmed up.

This is the first time in my life I've ever been too short to get into a tall dude's club. I missed it by 1 inch at 6ft 2in. *kicks rocks*

It's called a joke! I couldn't care less about his grammar. In case you don't know, here is the definition of: joke /jōk/ Noun A thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, esp. a story with a funny punchline. Verb Make jokes; talk humorously or flippantly. Synonyms noun. jest - fun - jape - gag - trick -…

I agree with others here. I did the C25K when I first started running and it was a great way to break into it. Your cardio will keep getting better and better. When I first started running I was doing about 14 or 15 minute miles. Obviously that was a lot of walking and a little running because that's all I could do. I'm…

I was enjoying this thread until, unfortunately I came across this improper use of "you're". That's when you lost all credibilty with me. It sounded so well thought out up to that point.

Oh wow! She is gorgeous. A blonde!

Sitting at my desk right now I'm at between 44 and 48 bpm.
-
My hands are always cold at work when I'm sitting at my desk. I have wondered if that may be because of my lower heart rate now. It was never like that when I was out of shape.
-
I like that and I can definitely see that being used in a spin class.
-
I think it may partly be determined by genetics too. Some people just have a higher pulse and some lower.

My wife can never leggo my eggo. I don't mind though.
