If you are eating at a caloric deficit, you will lose weight. Just make sure you're eating enough. Eating too little can cause you to lose weight slower. And I agree with adlwilmot, those body fat monitors are not so great.

You didn't gain 2 lbs of muscle in that short period. Most likely your muscles are holding water while they heal.

To reply to your post real quick... you could absolutely lose weight if you "sit on the couch and enjoy not sweating off 400 calories". You don't have to exercise to lose weight. All you need is a calorie deficit. Your body burns calories all day, every day, regardless of what you're doing. Eat less calories than what your…

The story behind that is this... Let's say when you set your MFP account up, you entered that you would like to lose 1 pound per week. There are approximately 3500 calories in a pound so to burn off 1 pound per week you would need a 500 calorie deficit per day (500 x 7 days). When MFP calculates your daily calories, they…

For sure some foods provide you with lots of water.

The human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water depending on body size. A rule of thumb, 2/3 of your body consists of water, and it is the main component of the human body. Did you know that your tissues and organs are mainly made up of water? Here is the %: •Muscle consists of 75% water •Brain consists of 90% of water…

I weigh myself every morning before I get in the shower. Keeps me accountable.

Take a couple days off and eat a lot of calories. I'm not telling you to eat a lot of junk food. Just saying to eat a lot of calories. Take your MFP calculated maintenance calories and maybe add 500 calories to that. Do that for a couple days. That has worked for me twice and I've heard other people say the same thing has…

Down between 10:30 & 11:00pm and up at 4:30am.

When you're hungry you need to eat. It's not about starving yourself, it's about eating healthy. Make a healthy choice in a snack and eat it. Make sure you drink some water too. A lot of times we confuse hunger for thirst. Make sure you're well hydrated. You got this!

Society has made the human body such a nasty thing. How dare you show your body to anybody! Especially children. Who probably care the least because society hasn't had the opportunity to teach them how wrong it is yet.

Healthy food doesn't have to mean boring food. There are so many great helthy recipes out there that have all kinds of taste and flavors. You can even take your favorite meals and add a healthy twist to them. I eat all kinds of lean meats and vegetables and never with a shortage of great flavors.

If you only give one thing, you can surpass your goal of 75 lbs by mid 2013. That one thing is dedication. Dedicate yourself and you could be 100 lbs lighter by then if that's what you want. It's easier than you may think. I know when I started out it felt out of reach but I learned that all it took was for me to dedicate…

I don't see why not.

You would have to do some photo editing. Save your before and after pics from the site and stitch them together into one photo and then modify your ticker to use that photo. I know for some people that may be very difficult.

I think those images come from external websites. Try a site like www.weightmirror.com or something similar to that.

I am reposting this recipe with corrections. There were mistakes in the recipe and it was missing the spinach all together.

I'm super-human. I never get sick. I just keep telling myself that. Even when I'm sick.

Eat more olive oil, nuts and maybe beans or something for higher "good" calories. Take a couple days off from the exercise and pig out. I promise (based on what I've seen with myself and many other people on here) you'll see a difference. Your body probably needs a break. Also, you don't burn a lot of calories while you're…

Frog legs taste like chicken. So I've been told.

There are so many different exercises for each muscle group. I suppose the first thing you need to know is the muscle groups. Biceps, Triceps, Chest, Shoulders, Abs, Quads, Back, Hamstrings, Calves, etc. Search Google for exercises for each muscle group and try to find videos of how each exercise is performed so you can…

You're wearing black.

My vote is for Polar. I have the FT40 and it works great for me. Chest strap goes under your boobs and will not slide around. I had some good size boobs when I started and never had a problem.

Keep the fact that weight loss is 75 or 80 percent diet and 20 or 25 percent excercise. Prioritize by getting your eating habbits in order first and work on exercise 2nd to start. I started out simply walking a little bit each day. Not very fast and not very long. I would skip some days due to weather or lack of motivation…

I'm sure a lot of you have seen this one. The ancient glider from Egypt is not the only ancient “aerial” object discovered. Thousands of miles away from Egypt, within the borders of South and Central America, a number of nearly-identical, golden objects have been discovered in ancient tombs and other places. According to…

Here's another. ANTIKYTHERA MECHANISM This curious mechanical device is often described as the World’s first analogue computer was retrieved by sponge divers off the coast of Antikythera in or around 1900AD. Scientists all agree that it is real and that it dates from some time during the 2nd century BC making it well over…

Is this compelling to anyone else? ABYDOS CARVINGS Located approximately 450 kilometres south of Cairo in Egypt is the very ancient city-complex of Abydos. Believed by many to be one of the most important historical sites relating to ancient Egypt it is also the location of a set of carvings that have caused a significant…

I saw the video of this the other day. The "saucer" that was on the back of the rig had landing gear. Must have been some kind of secret plane the military was transporting. I've never seen a picture of a flying saucer with landing gear.
