The most accurate way to know is to invest in a HRM. I've been doing Zumba since June and every class is different so my calorie burn is different as well. I've ranged from 500 to 900 for a 60 minute class. Of course the more you use your arms and "go big" the bigger your calorie burn will be. Keep with it and have fun!!

I LOVE Zumba! Once you learn the moves do them very sharp and with purpose and that will help with toning. My instructor also works in special ab songs or squat songs. I'm down 68 pounds by doing just Zumba and eating healthy :)

I use both. I wear the FitBit 24/7 to count steps and basic activity, but when I work out I wear my HRM. The HRM has a much more accurate reading on heartbeats and calories burned during your workout. Hope that helps.

I've always been overweight, but NO MORE. I want to be fit and healthy and sexy as hell :) I want guys to look at me and not just the friends that I'm out with. I want to wear a swimsuit and not feel like I need a cover-up. I want to be in a size 8 instead of the 22 that I was in (I'm down to a 14/16 now!) :)

I like the way you think :) I haven't really bought new clothes in a while so it's fun going to "regular" stores and not plus size stores to try on clothes. Plus I won a weight loss contest and used that money for new cute clothes :)

Try eating more of you calories before 3:00 pm... dinner being your lowest calorie meal. Also, do you snack at night? Maybe try not to eat after 7 pm

In my mind all calories count. If an 8 oz glass of cranberry juice is 120 calories and you have a glass a day, that's 3600 calories which equals a pound...

Yes. My ultimate goal is another 50. Then I will be in the "normal" BMI range and not Obese or Overweight. And wow so many compliments on my dress... so fun! I bought it like 4 years ago :happy:

Yes, my knees ached for the first little bit until some of the weight came off. That's AWESOME about clothes falling off ;) And 2 dress sizes is a BIG deal- congrats!!
