  • Thanks LittleMissAlx...I made her some "chicken and rice soup" and put a bit of pedialyte in it to cool it off...she just sniffed it and walked off, while my orange beast then went up and ate it (he's such a pig!) I scrubbed down their pet fountain (I swear I just did this) but took it apart, found my special scrub brushes…
  • I typically like chicken and sausage gumbo...just posted the recipe http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/301713-august-challenge-funky-unchunky-monkey-s-closed-group?page=4 it's towards the bottom...it's easy and can keep for awhile, or be frozen for later as well...just a fair warning I only make it in the winter…
  • One of my favorite recipes to make when it's cold...and my boyfriend LOVES it... Chicken and Sausage Gumbo (the counts weren't nearly as horrid as I was afraid of) Chicken and Sausage Gumbo Ingredients: Abt 2 lbs of chicken (I prefer thighs and legs though this batch all I could get was skinless/boneless breasts and seems…
  • ARGH! Story of my life is please wait....I ordered a scale online last week, should have been here Friday, now they are saying maybe tomorrow. All this because I didn't want to drop $40 on a scale here and now (didn't like the reviews on that one either). So I must weight to weigh myself. If I haven't lost weight I don't…
  • I'd say aerobics...just be fair warned if you put it in as "it's own" exercise it will report "what" it is...But I did look it's like 100 calories min for every 15-20 mins...:blushing:
  • Sorry haven't been able to post the past couple of days, it's been crazy I've done another 5 miles in my "spare" time...thanks...probably added more tonight but 5 for now :)
  • Please, don't feel scared! I know I was, and I've finally opened mine up to just my friends. It helps you keep accountability for sure. As for why I look at other diaries...to get other ideas of things that might add change to my own. Friends are here to help not condone us. And by the way CONGRATULATIONS on the nearly 100…
  • Oh thank you for the warning! I used to guzzle cokes, and gave them up a couple years back because of tummy issues...But I still drink sprite now and then, but haven't had one in probably 2 weeks...guess I won't give into that craving anytime soon....Good bye Carbonation!
  • Ok so it isn't just me! I broke down yesterday and bought a 6 inch sub and normally love it, and was just like really? I ate the toppings, and loved them but the rest was just blah! I then demolished an orange and apple...glad it's not just me :)
  • Question is what haven't I done? I got mad at the busdriver in 6th grade and didn't want to sit with the boy I was assigned to sit with and walked home (it was a 5 mile walk) my parents about had a heart attack, because I wasn't on the bus. In 9th grade I went to school in the not so good part of town and missed the bus…
  • THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION!!! I so need it sometimes. Today has been a struggle to get my "extra" bit of exercise in after a long and insane work day. All I have wanted to do since I got home was find a stiff drink and eat something I shouldn't...I have avoided doing both though I have the calories to spare. Seeing…
  • Ride your bike to the movie theatre then ride it home :) Just be sure to enjoy yourself!
  • Keep working toward your goals. Look how far you have already come! You can do this, you are just having a hard time right now. My very best friend just went through that, and suddenly this morning she dropped 3 pounds...keep working, and trust me I know there are times I would like to slap Leslie into submission,…
  • So glad I was alone in the back room as I finished the 40 ups and downs, and yes I broke them into segments, just couldn't do them all at once...come on Friday we can do it FUM!!!!
  • Add 3 more to me for today...so that should give me today...3 total...7 remaining...23
  • A doctor once told me I was getting too much water. Why did I see the doctor? Because I was exercising like a maniac, and was worried because every inch of my body was constantly in pain even with ibuprofen and tylenol. I had been drinking gallons of water and only water, and not eating enough. His explanation was I that I…
  • found the link to the challenge... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/304896-leslie-sansone-walking-at-home-august-challenge
  • I like the Leslie Sansone and there are different ones so it doesn't get too boring. Also like the Debra Mazda Shapely Girl Fitness, though I didn't see it at wal-mart last time I was there. I was contemplating the line dancing one next month. Also don't forget your public library, maybe I'm just lucky but my library has a…
  • Thank you for sharing this with us!
  • I use shoes and socks generally...I can't stand my carpet (I rent so changing it isn't an option) and how it feels on my feet. So I wear socks at least, and if my body is aching (like it has been) I go ahead and put on my shoes so I have some extra cushioning...also been wearing my ankle/foot brace for the extra support...
  • My stepfather used to have one of those...except it had a belt and it would shake you senseless...I like how this one looks a lot better...but honestly I'd be afraid to use it in public...might get a little loud...
  • Not sure about your budget but, I've had Brides come in and do Build-A-Bears at the store (Build-A-Bear Workshop) for bridesmaids, and or flower girls as a thank you gift. You could do something really simple for just $10 or $15...or if your budget will allow $30/bridesmaid, wait till this Friday...we will have our big…
  • I am feeling like I've died and gone to well down below! About to try and force myself to get up and do at least a 1-2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone...already did my 50 crunches this morning...between walking and weapons of mass reduction I'm wondering if I will survive the month! At least I better lose the 10 lbs for this…
  • Best guestimate I can give you and this is using Starbucks and piecing together 2 drinks to make the raspberry caramel cappuccino is close to 500 calories. Like I said that is the best guestimate I can come up with...I took the Caramel Cappuccino calories, and added the calories of the difference of a "regular" ice tea and…
  • I'd challenge myself to walk around the field (hopefully it has a track) while they practice. See how many times you can do it the first week, then the next week try and up it 1 or 2 rounds...when you finally can (or you might be able to now, I just know I can't) try jogging/running a lap walking a lap, so on and so forth.…
  • Time should help. But if you've had a large stomach for quite awhile and losing it rather quickly there may not be too many options...Surgery is one...I'm hoping to avoid that, but if I lose all that I need to and have to go that way well......
  • I may have just figured out why I stay exhausted...I'm constantly moving anymore...On average I burn about 750-1000 calories a day in exercise...no wonder I'm losing my mind and feeling the burn constantly *lol* So that means I should be losing a pound about every 3-4 days...because my average is closer to…
  • Tuesday Check in... Today 1 mile Total 4 miles Remaining 26 miles...
  • Not a doctor, but I believe that would require more. Just thinking your body needs more rest when you are sick it seems that your body is using more calories to get better as well. As everyone else has said bump up the calories a bit. I realized after a couple of days I wasn't putting enough sugar in my diet nowhere near…
  • I did 3 today, almost want to do another one, but just can't get off my butt to do it...
