This! as a matter of fact, the machines are your best friend until you learn which movement targets which muscle. I do machines all the time to make my workout varied and I have been lifting for 14 years so the machines are there for a good reason not just to "look" good. The nice thing about machines is that you can't…

5'4" and cw is 137.4, would like to try 135 but it's been very difficult because I am a weight training fanatic and that carries weight with it. My clothes size is 4 and never wear anything larger than 6. I think that before you pick a goal weight take into consideration all your stats and physical activity. If you are a…

Non-Scale Victory! Hooray!

"I hate when that happens...you look up and poof.......gone! :)" This is what I do! ;) But also take 1/2 of the bread and dump! I still get double meat and veggies

The only 24 packs of noodles around here are Ramen Noodles and you can get them for $1.50 for 24. So I'm curious. [/quote] Really? I.50 for 24? Where?

How about trying moderation? What's more important a short term buzz or a long term successful weightloss plan? It's your choice, weigh the pros and cons. IMO, there is no contest!

This! What were you eating before you started MFP, more or less?

WOW! Looks like a different person, congratulations!

Limit yourself to one day of going out with the friends. Why does it always have to be out to eat and drink? Invite them to do something exciting and different that doesn't require food and drinks so you can still enjoy your friends without jeopardizing your fitness and eating goals. If that isn't appealing, I would…

do what you have to and get it done! Weightlifting is individual just as losing weight is too! :)

Portion control, more fruits and veggies, and you may want to consider lower caloric intake.

I'm 5.5 and have weighed as low as 125 (too skinny) and am currently shooting for 130. I have been holding steady at about 142-153 for about 10 years, back and forth, and I finally decided I want to get down to 130 and stay there. I am very curvy and don't want to lose any of my curves so anything below 130 is out of the…

OH Wow, get ready for the real "party" to begin!!! You are going to love the live class! I am an instructor of 4 years and feel like it's a new workout for me everytime I teach (6 times a week) ;)

Nothing like a HRM to give you the answer to your question based on "YOU". I'm not overweight and I burn 450-700. On the lower end if I'm taking, and on the high end if I am teaching. I wear a HRM all the time and my calorie count is never exatly the same. This is just an idea, I weigh 140lbs and am 5'4.5". Size also…

I love this! Good for you and please keep us posted on your progress! You have taken the first step of any recovery program: admission :) Good luck, I look forward to reading more about your breakups in the future......

Many things poison the body if used in excess: sodium, sugar, protien, carbs, and if you think about it, any food in excess will kill you if you over eat because it causes obesity!! Sometimes we want to isolate one single thing but it's more than that if we want to be honest and clear about it!

You look great! WTG

trust your HRM, it's correct! Good job!

Think about what you disliked when you became the daughter in law, use that as a guide. If you wouldn't like it, they probably won't either. I don't have son in laws only a daughter in law, I treat her with respect and support her all the way, even when she is not a happy camper with my son. I try to stay out of their…
