It hasn't been diagnosed, but I think I do. My mother has rhumatoid arthritis and takes a lot of meds for it. The reason I think I do is because I have all the symptoms of swelling, pain, heat around the joints, etc. However, I feel the best when I exercise and the last couple of times I have done lunges (400 this last…

Recently, every day, but I only log my weight if I lose because it fluctuates. Also, I must weight the same weight 2 days in a row first thing in the morning for me to feel secure enough to log it! That's just me
-
Regardless if you log them or don't log them, the bottom line is, if you are over inflating your calories, it will show on your weightloss. We cannot fool our bodies or our metabolism. Always aim for the most accurate calculation for YOU and don't use what others do for themselves. When I first started on MFP, I used to…

Turkey, Egg, cheese sandwich with hummus - THE BEST! 1 whole wheat thin bagel 1 whole egg fried in pam 1 slice kraft american cheese fat free 1 slice butterball sandwich turkey slice 1 tbsp of hummus lettuce, tomato diet coke 300 calories

AGREE! I love my FT4

since MFP has a built in deficit, eating them back is fuel for your body after exercise. You don't have to eat them all, you can eat half of them, so it's not good or bad unless your net calories are super low. But your gramma is wrong, it's not defeating the purpose, she has to understand MFP to understand! :)

Absolutely agree about the chest strap! You will get used to quickly, I don't even feel mine anymore. I have the Polar FT7 and love it!

This is so eye opening to me! Sometimes as the "thinner" passenger, I don't know that I ever thought of how uncomfortable it is for the heavier person instead of thinking of all the discomfort they were causing to me. Thank you so much for sharing, I will never look at a heavy person flying the same again. I'm sorry that…

My dad has been in remission for about 3 years from lung cancer. He went through 3 chemo treatments and almost died on his 3rd. I'm blessed that he is still alive and strong. One of my Zumba students' daughter is 6 years old and battling lukemia. Very awful. I had skin cancer on my leg which no where like breast, lung,…

If you do something for 2 weeks straight it becomes a HABIT! Invite him with you on your walks, what a great time to have beautiful conversations without the distraction of tv or other conversation destroying gadgets! :)

Doubt it! Wear a HRM, then you will know.
-
not sure what calorie shifting means?
-
How are you calculating your calories burned? To be as accurate as you can be for your body type, the best way is to use a HRM because you may be over or under estimating calorie expenditure causing the weight plateau. I was in a weighloss plateau despite having a deficit and couldn't figure it out. Well I realized I was…

not enough food! Try to eat every 2.5-3 hours, and balance out your sugar levels. It worked for me and I was on a plateau for almost 4 weeks.

Forget your BF, what does he know~ Your body is telling you did something and it was worth it. You are a beginner and I actually think you did more than expected. I have been working out for 14+ years and I only do weights for 30 minutes!!!! The important thing is that you FEEL it. It's not the amount of time but the…

WOW! 119 pounds! Amazing! The most I have ever had to lose is 39lbs and currently I have lost 8 out of 20 that I want to lose. Obviously what you have done, and are doing, works! Congratulations

Let's keep trying! No faining, we can just swing back and forth on the same 4lbs together, I'm on the same 3!

Hello, I'm a Zumba instructor and I have to say there's nothing like a live class. However, affordability is also important. Zumba has a WII game if you have the system but for DVD they have Exilarate for in home use. You should check these out on Zumba.com and read the reviews from other people. Zumba is a great program!

Let me know how I can help. Have you stop to reflect what has changed from when you lost the 40?

I have a hard time depending on the day. Most of the time I'm good with lunch, horrible with breakfast, and at times heavy at dinner but then again, on my heavy workout days, I have a hard time eating back all my calories. So, to say the least, I don't have a good answer for you and I don't think I follow any specific…
