You might have gained muscle! Remember, muscle weighs MORE than fat. I've decided not to go by the scale anymore - it's just too defeating. I'm measuring success now by visuals and feelings: little more tone here, pants a little looser there. The scale will just drive you crazy!

haha I had to wear heels to something last night and I think I was walking like I had a stick up my *kitten*. Just getting out of the car hurt!

I was doing bagel thins every morning, then cut back to the Thomas Hearty English Muffins (100 calories), then down to one slice of multi-grain bread (90 calories), and my goal is to eliminate bread from breakfast altogether!

I try to eat eat like this: breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper. I do a big breakfast with egg whites and fruit, light salad and some protein for lunch, and a small dinner with veggies and grains. Make sure you eat every few hours; snacks are important! I try to snack on almonds, fruit, and…

Sometimes when I need to eat the last 200-300 calories, I go for 1/4 cup of almonds. They have between 170-210 calories, and they're quite filling! Maybe a low-fat string cheese, or some veggies and hummus?

I agree with the Fiber One brownies. SO GOOD and only 90 calories!

I go over in sugar EVERY DAY and I think it's just from fruit, which contains a lot of natural sugar. I think they set the bar kinda low on that one.

I know fruit contains natural sugar, but I wouldn't suggest staying away from it. Berries contain antioxidants, and fruit is good for you...

I'm on Level 1 Day 5 of the shred, and have done cardio at the gym every day so far (minus day 2). I've found that doing both is helping with my endurance during the DVD!

Almonds, raisins, pretty much any nut has high calories but good fats and nutrition.

Thats great! I'm on day 3, and plan to to do it every day. Even though I just started, I'm starting to see little results! My legs are KILLING me but no pain, no gain!

I swear, measuring cups have become my best friend. I mean, really, how much is 1/4 of a cup? I have no idea. I just use small measuring cups for baking and eat out of those when I snack. It's really helped portion control and mindless eating. Surprisingly, 1/4 of a cup of raisins is really filling!

I'll admit, my weaknesses are Red Bull (sugar free of course!) and Pop Chips. I've totally cut out soda (minus a few diet cokes and vodkas last night...), candy, and late night snacking. Using this site has really made me confront my demons and be totally honest with myself. When I looked back on older posts, I am…

I make my food diary available to friends, so feel free to add me!

Sorry, but this doesn't mean vegetarian. Eating fish does NOT make you vegetarian. Drives me bonkers when people claim veggie but eat fish and the "occasional" chicken. UGH.

Yes, this site really works, as long as your are diligent and honest. Make sure you track your foods and exercise! Feel free to add me! Having support on here is a great help!

Absolutely inspirational! GREAT JOB!

I too am doing 1200 calories a day. It can be tough, especially on the days you don't exercise and don't get those "extra" calories. Make sure you drink A LOT of water (it will help you feel full and keep you hydrated), and make sure you make healthy choices. High fiber options will make you feel full, and make sure you…

I have Crohn's Disease and have met with a nutritionist before. It's a good idea to figure out what vitamins and minerals your body is lacking, and to set a solid calorie goal per day.
