Holy smokes...I haven't logged into MFP on the computer in a long time! Work got absolutely CRAZY and I ended up not even being in my office all of last week but working at a different department, helping them get things worked out. So I am going to try and catch up. Sorry if I miss anything. Abby - Going to a nutritionist…

I always suggest the Kraft website. I love this one and have found many great recipes that don't take that much time to cook. Also, you can change things up to make it healthier. For example, tonight I am having mini meatloaves from this site and 2 mini meatloaves = 500 calories. There are a lot of variety as well.

Good Morning ladies... Cynthia - I had thought about de-sensitizing him to the bicycles. We are currently working on motorcycles cause that causes the most panic. I think the bicycles startled him cause he didn't know they were behind us until they were right up on us. He was focused on the people coming at us. We have…

Wow. There are a lot of posts since I have been able to check in, have barely been able to log calories. So I hope I can catch up with everyone. meag - congrats on your race! It is always fun to run with family/friends. I am running with my brother in the race in April and am excited. I probably won't be able to keep up…

El - The Sparta run sounds like a fun challenge to keep things interesting. For recipes ideas you might check out the Kraft website. I have found many 30 min. recipes and they have a healthy living section as well. I have taken many of their recipes and add or changed things to make them healthier. Also, the prep can be…

Happy Tuesday everyone! meag - I love hearing about your runs. It inspires me to keep going. I'm on the W4 of the C25k and it almost killed me yesterday. So your posts about your running were just what I needed to read this morning. Spin class sounds interesting. A friend dragged me to a spin class once and I could barely…

Bump for later.

I think you can do it! My goal is the OKC Memorial Marathon in 2013. I would be running the 5k this year but will be flying to a conference the day of the race, so had to choose a different race. I am starting small. Running a 5k first and working my way up. Signing up for races between now and then will help keep my…

Happy Friday!!! Cynthia - So sorry to hear about your boyfriend's sister. It is good that you will be able to be there to support him and his family during this time. Ratchettconde - Completing the 30 day shred is my unspoken goal for this month. I would include that into getting my motivation back. I usually do good for…

Depends on what exercise I'm doing. If I'm running I do nothing but run, it is my time to clear my head and NOT think. I usually read or watch tv if I'm using a machine at the gym.

Thanks! Running a 5k in April!!!
-
-CindyM29 -log in everyday, run at least 2 miles a day, lose 8 lbs this month, drink at least 8 cups of water a day, be able to do at least one pull up -Kendib - Get my MOTIVATION back! Get ready to rock the 5k race in the beginning of April.

Happy Last Day of February! meag - being able to "not" think during a run is one of the reasons I like to run. It's nice to know that I have no responsiblities during that time except to myself. It has become my escape. meghan - Changing paths in life can be hard, scary and stressful. It sounds like you have thought…

This...I try to eat a banana in the afternoon when I'm looking for something sweet. It helps raise my blood sugar enough to get through the afternoon without crashing. This morning though I had one with breakfast with whole grains. It was the pick me up I needed to get started today.

Happy Saturday ladies!!!! This is my one day to sleep in and do whatever I want with little to no obligations. Meag - I agree with the Herbal Life $$$ scheme. I'm too cheap to do that and would rather spend my money on other things. I have a great supply of easy, healthy 30 minute meals that I use during the week. I am…

Taking a few minutes to post before I freak out on my coworkers. AAAARRRGG!!!!! :ohwell: Meag - First off no worries. It takes A LOT to offend and I have learned in the last 5 years not to judge or compare other relationships to ours. What works for us would drive other couples crazy and vice versa. So no offense what so…

Abby - Your running pics look great! I don't have anywhere fun to run where I live. I usually run around some neighborhoods. The 5k isn't has awful as was at the beginning. I am hoping to be able to run a marathon in a year, so April of 2013. We will see how that goes. I want to run it in a respectable time. Meag - I don't…

Wow...what a crazy week! I have been reading but every time I start to respond something comes up and I stop. So I am taking a few minutes at the office while I can. eleanoreb - I like your idea of putting names with your goals. I'm new this month and have pretty much figured out who everyone is according to their posts…

When you filled out your profile it asked what was your daily activity like? I work at a desk all day and so mine would be Sedentary. I would list yours as Light Active to Active depending on how much of your day is spent lifting. My husband's job would be considered light active so he gets more calories everyday to eat…

That's awesome. I am currently having the same problem with my wedding ring. It won't stay on. Congratulations.

Bethany - I like the idea of a pretty water glass. I had to move to one with a lid after a co worker spilt my water all over my desk and paperwork. I also drink more when there is a straw. Not sure why. Abby - Happy Birthday and congrats on the run! And to being back in a bikini. That is my goal for our Hawaii trip in…

Not 6 foot, but am almost 5' 10" and am not a petite person. Never have been, never will be. My goal weight is 180, which is still considered "overweight" but will be a very good weight for me. Friend request sent.

Just a quick check in...I ran a 5k in my fastest time today! Beat my previous time by 3 minutes. I am training for a 5k race in April and am so excited to be back running. I have asthma and last time I went to the doctor I had only about 70% use of my lungs so running for me is about training myself to breathe properly in…

Hahaha. I have used those exact words many times. This is the first time I have had any long term success of losing in the 5 years of gaining weight. MFP has been great in helping with that. Welcome!

Hi Lisa. Getting the motivation is a big step in starting on this journey. Congrats on starting this journey and being realistic about it as well. I just sent you a friend request.

I have the same problem...my average mile pace is about the same as yours right now. I think the 5k on this program is a bit of a misnomer. What will be more likely to happen is that you will be able to run/job for 30 minutes, if you ran a 10 minute mile that would be your 5k. After you can run the 30 minutes you will be…

I saw this group in December and was too busy at the time. Glad to have found the February thread. Not new to MFP but new to this group. Started in September 2011, though my log says April 2010 (had a lot of start and stops) and am excited to keep losing. ~Allie7383- PR in my Disney Half Marathon, be under 145, log 5 days…
