  • June 1 - June 17 total miles: 23.5 Goal for the rest of June: 31.5 miles
  • Only 1 child but between a job and love and a commute, I am right there with you.
  • Sent you a friend request.
  • Congrats on the new baby! Adjusting to adding a person in the family is always hard and it will change as they get older. Start back in small, easy to accomplish goals (chair dips & such for a few minutes), walking around the block, etc. From there you'll get used to fitting it in.
  • Added you. I was the same. Very successful before but need the accountability.
  • Busy mom as well. Feel free to add me.
  • I have the same experience during the summer months. I usually drink a glass of water and then a small glass of orange juice. The little bit of orange juice gives me just the little boost I need until the meal is ready to be eaten.
  • Thanks for responding. I have almost 100 pounds to lose as well. It's amazing how fast it creeps on.
  • Sounds awesome.
  • I sent you a friend request. My baby is a year old but she had some health issues that prevented the post partum weight lose. I am looking forward to losing the weight. I lost 60+ pounds before she was born with myfitnesspal and a excited to get started again.
  • That's fantastic! I think the day to day changes are more exciting than the scaled moving.
  • I have had asthma since I was 2 and have been on allergy shots the works. The asthma/allergy specialist I see found some research that shows Vitamin D3 helps with allergy symptoms. I take 5,000IU daily for the past couple of years. I have stopped taking allergy shots, reduced the nub and only need a small over the counter…
  • I love my BodyMedia! I did a lot of research and asked the same question before buying it. I have used mine for about a year and wouldn't trade it. There is a small monthly charge about $7, but that is cheaper than a monthly Netflix charge and I think it is comperable to the data I get. Serveral people I talked to before I…
  • My biggest help was sitting down with my asthma/allergy specialist and telling him very specifically what my goals were and the issues I was having trying to meet them. We talked through options and did a breathing test and at last results I have about 70-80% use of my lungs. I take an additional medicine during the spring…
  • I second the dog repsonses. As a runner than runs with a dog, it is really annoying to have your dog under control and for another's dog to come up and bother us. Mine is trained so that when the harness comes on the focus is on running; not sniffing, not going to the bathroom, we run.
  • There is a challenge starting July 1 and running until you complete it. It is a go at your own pace type challenge. Yet there is the added motivation of racing against other members of the challenge. We have a opening for 14 more members. If interested list your name below. Please quote the previous post when you add your…
  • I have a BodyMediaFit. Best $200 I have spent in a long time. There is a $80 year fee but for the data I get I don't mind.
  • Snow Cones. Nothing beats a hot summer day than some sugary ice!
  • It happens to everyone. I love Mexican food and one of the ways that I combat eating to much is to do the following: 1. I count out 10-12 chips from the bowl and move it way. 10-12 chips is about a serving and eat as much salsa I would like with those chips. If I want more I count out more but then I know I have had 2…
  • Happy Thursday Ladies! meag - I'm glad you had a good trip. I really like California but haven't been to the San Diego area yet. I think reevaluating goals in the middle of the month is a good idea if things change, like vacation. I love going on vacation but catch up back home and back at work has to be one of my least…
  • You are doing great. How tall are you? I started at about 253 an my goal weight is about 150-180.
  • Fitontherun - good luck on your race! What state do you live in? I live in Oklahoma and we have been having a string of tornadoes here. Meag - im glad you are having fun on your trip. Im sorry the weather isnt cooperating. I won't worry to much about going over on your calories you are usually on point most of the time. I…
  • Oh, were is my motivation!?! I have been logging but not eating well and haven't been logged into the computer for a while. So here is me catching up. qwerty - I'm impressed that you got that long of a run in with all of your other errands and things. meag - Have fun on your trip. I haven't made it to San Diego yet but…
  • Alright, I have some time to post more. qwerty - those mini eggs are so addictive! I love them and it is hard to only have a few. I have been running more now that weather is nice. El - Tennis sounds fun. I took a class in college but it rained almost all semester so I am not very good. It is a good workout though. I like…
  • Thank you for all your help. I will try it this week! That link was exactly what I was looking for.
  • Quick post to catch up on all that has been happening. hippiechel - I was doing the 30DS as well and only have 5lb. weights. Level 2 wrecked me. I ended up getting some cans of veggies out of the pantry to use instead for the first couple of days. I took a break for a couple of weeks to focus on getting ready for my 5k…
  • I was at 1,540 cals a day by MFP standards, plus more when I worked out. I now eat 1,950 regardless is I workout or not. Granted I workout 4-5 times a week and am usually burning an average of 3,000+ calories a day (I have a BodyMediaFit, that calculates it for me). So for me I eat a steady calorie count everyday and have…
  • Goals for March were: -Kendib - Get my MOTIVATION back! Get ready to rock the 5k race in the beginning of April. I did get my motivation back and was able to workout often this month and stayed on target eating wise. I am ready for my 5k race on the 7th but can't run the whole thing yet. I will continue to work on that for…
  • I'm working on getting fit and still have a ways to go. My goal is to run a marathon in April on 2013. Watts? On the machine? I know nothing about these machines and have no clue where to start? What average watts are you trying for? I don't even know what would be considered good.
  • Bethany - I hate the stomach bug. I am out of commission for days when I get it. I'm glad your feeling better. I always read the book before the movie and often read it again after the movie. This was my first midnight premier and was fun! I was glad I read the book before the movie though. You have a super cute family and…
