I am still struggling to really start, but if anything, I just hate thinking "I'll start tomorrow." I've been wanting to lose this weight that I've gained since last summer. I could be at goal by now if I only started 6 months ago. I guess it was realizing that I could have been at goal by now.

Honestly.. it's easy after a while of thinking about starting "tomorrow." For over a year I have wanted to lose this weight that I gained with the "there's always tomorrow" mentality. The thing is, I could have been at my goal weight for almost a year if I started instead of kept thinking about starting. That's how I see…

I totally understand where you are coming from. My mom used to call me "fat" because she knew I had an eating disorder. There is so much more I could go into about her, the emotional abuse, but now I just don't deal with her. She is all about herself, not her own family in any way. She doesn't talk to any of my family, and…

Neat idea! I like making chicken nuggets with crushed pork rinds and seasoning and bake it up. Then, I fry it in refined coconut oil. Comes out perfect every time! Even better than that Tyson crap.

Sometimes I will make an egg cream because eating eggs does get old. My recipe is simple and basic: - 2 or 3 eggs - 1 cup unsweetened almond milk - 2tbsp HWC - stevia to taste - ice - 1 tbsp flax oil - blend until smooth You can't even tell the egg is in there. What's perfect about egg cream's is that they are fast, so if…

I always do well if I cook in bulk. Sometimes I just get sick of my food choices LOL. But I do love making mock chicken nuggets using pork rinds as the crust. I should really make those in bulk! LOL. So easy, and always tastes delicious.

1) Future health 2) To feel good about myself 3) To look good in what I wear I've become more of a hermit since I've gained the weight. I don't want to go out as often, and I don't like getting pictures taken of me. This from someone who loved to do both. So, time for the weight to be gone.

Hi Katie! Welcome to the group. Just curious to if you are following a specific Paleo plan? Paleo is NOT a no carb diet, that's why I'm a bit confused. I love hearing about other plans, and I often visit Mark's Daily Apple. He has some good paleo recipes now and then!

I was pretty happy at around the 120-122lb mark. I was thin, but still had booty LOL. It was nice because the smallest amount of muscle on my body, you could really see. I wouldn't go any thinner than that. My goal weight is to reach 120lbs.

I noticed immediate difference when I did the following: -cut carbs/sugar -cut wheat out of diet -up healthy fats The reduction in carbs/sugar was the first thing I did, and it only takes 2-3 days to not feel hungry. I eat more of my own version of low carb but pretty close to Atkins, and feels great. Every now and then I…

How funny! I am actually craving a bagel with butter and cream cheese. I can tell you that they also make me hungry, and more than likely due to the insulin spike since it has an amazing amount of carbs. Having only half a bagel, and pairing a protein (like scrambled eggs) usually does the trick so I don't feel plagued by…

You know, I am 50/50 because I have had people tell me that I don't need to lose weight.. but it's only because they don't want me to get to where I was before I gained the weight. But, my BF and his family are supportive. I was nervous having to tell my BF that he will have to tell his mom I can't eat with them when we…

For me, I know that the scale will be lower every day that I go to the gym. Also, I know I will feel great after I work out. Even if I only end up doing 15 minutes, there are days that I feel like doing an hour once I force myself to get at the gym.
-
I don't follow a specific plan, but I try to stay under 50 carbs a day. I might actually switch over to Atkins induction next week just as a change.

Well, in August 2010 I was in the army and being moved to a new position within. At that time I was 140lbs, in great shape, and wasn't far from my goal weight. Well, fast forward to almost a year ago and I had gained more than 30lbs, most of it in a short amount of time. In April 2011, I gained 20lbs due to the shot. Then,…

I will add flax seed oil into my protein shakes or coconut oil into a fruit smoothie. If you have a good blender (mine was a cheap $15 one) then should be no problem. Plus, both oils are good for you.

I totally don't see that you are being unreasonable. Let alone, it was your husbands responsibility to let you know when he was leaving to begin with. He should have KNOWN and even told his friend he couldn't stay that long because other company was arriving. It's just him being inconsiderate. I get that his friend is…

From past experience where I was where you weighed many moons ago, strength training/conditioning is it peeled the fat and shaped me up. And I could have been called the cardio queen. But, I remember that I was a slim 6 and when I didn't strength train and just cardio, I was a 7/8.

I do find that it is easier, and sometimes even cost effective. You could do that and change it up every week.

LOL I'm hoping to not lose any boobs for a while! I had to spend money at Victoria's Secret to hold up these babies!

I like to plan daily and weekly goals to keep me level headed. I have about 60 something more pounds to lose before I am happy. What I do is on Sundays, I weigh myself and figure out what I want to accomplish that week. Example being remember to take my vitamins daily, not eating over x-amount of carbs/sugar, etc. Then,…

I've had too many experiences in my life that I am a forced believer, and I'm the type of person that likes to deal with facts and things I can prove. Here are a few of my experiences: Every time a family member is about to die in my family, the TV would turn on to an old TV station that used to show her favorite soap…

Those will be perfect! He doesn't love oats but I can grind them up in a food processor. Thanks!

I don't drink it. I just have no interest. Once in a blue moon my BF might by some wine coolers, but that's about it. Even though, I might have just one. He likes to buy lemonade flavored ones which are great this time of year esp if we don't have lemonade on hand.

I could type a few things. I haven't been fat all my life, this is just a second time through out my life I have gained a ton of weight due to stress and now losing it. When I was 13 or 14 years old and only 130lbs, my mom would tell me that I was "fat" because she knew I had an eating disorder just like she had one.…

Google "Chocolate Avocado Pudding." I once made it with a recipe from a site and it called for maple syrup. You know, IT DID taste exactly like chocolate pudding! The only sucky part was all the sugar in it from the maple syrup.

I'm assuming you're eating a lot of veggies as well. At ChrisBeatCancer.com he has some good green smoothie recipes!

I personally watch my carb/sugar intake over calories. But, I think it's more about quality of food rather than quantity. I stick to under 100 carbs, and try to at least have 100 grams of protein. That doesn't mean I don't have a piece of toast once in a while!
