Hi Reenie! I wouldn't stress about a 1.5 pound weight gain. Maybe it's hormone fluctuation, build up of waste that hasn't been passed yet or a bit of extra sodium. Don't beat yourself up :)

I have PCOS too, and I find the exact same thing. Sending you a friend request :)

I'll be your friend! I don't really have any left on here and I am kind of "restarting" my journey due to pandemic weight gain!

I gained a lot of my weight back during the pandemic that I lost years ago. I am back on track now and need friends to keep me motivated to lose 45 pounds! Add me if you like

Many women with PCOS also have issues with insulin resistance. The responses above are accurate, the more you reduce the refined carbs/sugars in your diet, the better you will feel. Sugar spikes can also trigger mood swings. Add some light exercise and see how you feel. This is the only thing that has worked for me

This is a very interesting one. I was overweight my entire life, lost 70 pounds and did not feel any different about myself. If I gained 5 or 10 pounds over Christmas or whatever, I felt like a WHALE. I was at 135 pounds at 5'5 thinking I was huge. Flashforward a year, I started a new medication and gained 40 pounds. NOW I…

I think insanity would be good for you if you're looking for something cardio based. I've seen many people 40+, even 50+ that have done it. You will really be in the best shape of your life

For some reason when you search breastfeeding and add the negative number it doesn't work anymore. I agree with creating your own exercise!

Hey girly! I just want you to know, the size number will not define how you feel at the end. Everyone is proportioned differently, and even the number on your pants are not exactly what you hoped, just focus on how healthy and sexy you feel.... On that note  Of course it is possible, but don't make it the only…

I personally don't consider eating 1500 calories per day "high calorie." What works for you may not work for somebody else (just like you said). Also, please tell me how lifting heavy and getting stronger while maintaining a caloric deficit will make an overweight woman or teen look fatter? Lots of cardio and super low…

Hi there! How many calories are currently having per day? Also, I have been down the slim fast path and it makes me a grumpy biotch! With MFP you can eat real food as long as you stay within your budget. I recommend ditching those (because they're not that healthy anyways), and replace them with healthy, filling…

Please do not listen to the advice about higher reps and lower weights. Lifting heavy weights will NOT make you look like a body builder. Women lifting heavy leads to a seriously sexy physique and will give you the results you want, I promise! I recommend eating closer to 1500 calories a day (set your weight loss to 1…

I've been eating around 1500 or so (give or take 100) since mid November. Prior to that I was a lot larger and aiming to lose 2 pounds per week so I was netting 1200-1300 a day. Obviously the weight loss is slower now, but I am trying to make it more sustainable long-term. Whereas at first I had a bit more leverage because…

Yeah that seems to make the most sense.

No event, just to "cut the last bit of fat." Which I know doesnt make sense. I think it is the 5:2 thing. Except it would be 2 days 650 and the other days 1000-1350. I think she wants me to die lol

That's because....just took a shot at age of 25...a woman age 25, 150, who's on their feet as much as you are has a TDEE -20% of ~2200 calories. [/quote] Wow thats definitely a lot more than I am eating now. Maybe I should increase my calories for a few weeks and see if it makes a noticeable difference. This trainer was…

I currently eat at least 150 grams of protein a day in hopes that this will help me maintain LBM. I don't even care about the scale anymore, the number doesn't matter. I just care about the physique and the strength I can gain.

Thank you guys for the advice. The BMR actually seems to add up as I am 5'4 and 150 pounds. My goal is to avoid losing as much muscle as possible while sculpting a lean(ish) body through weight lifting. I am not sedentary at all. I work 8 hour shifts on my feet, head to the gym after work and go home and run around after…

And to the stigma comment, I'm a young mother and I felt the same way when I was pregnant. It all changes when your child is born, it no longer feels weird at all!

I breast feed my daughter (almost 14 months... The scandal!) and it has worked well for us. She has only been sick once since she was born and it has been good bonding for us. It was difficult for me in the first couple months as my monthly cycle returned early and my supply dipped for a little while. I decided to stick…
