I think they use it because it sounds Awesome! "Hey mate, I lost two stone!" I like that better then "I lost 28LBS." Plus, isn't a Pound a form of currency on that side of the pond?

I've been here for a while and I'm currently training for the Spartan Trifecta (All three races in one year) add me if you like.

I'm going to get the Trifecta in 2014 Doing the Sprint and Beast in Charlotte. Not sure where I'm going to do a Super at. I'm thinking it might be a good excuse for a weekend road trip somewhere.

You need to find the right calorie intake for your activity. Too much if a deficit (not enough calories) will derail your weight loss and could have long term negative effects on your body. Eat what you want in proportion, having a slight calorie deficit , you'll lose the weight.

Apparently there is close to 20,000 runners for the event, plus another event next door at Z max. If you can carpool I highly suggest it. I'm car pooling, but I'm the driver!
