i watched thinterventtion with jackie warner she had a guy run stairs for the caloric burn of his two oreos, while he had them in his hands after the stairs the cookies were mush from sweat and she said go ahead eat your cookies u earned it. needless to say he didnt eat anymore oreos lol.

i like hiit training particulary turbo fire hiits per my bodybugg i burned around 300 cal for 20 minutes of activity, not to mention it leaves your heart rate elevated after the work out (more calories burned at a resting state)

i try to eat something every morning, even if its light because your metablolism switches "on" once you eat something and continues as you eat. Some mornings it a 100 cal pack of almonds just so theres something in my stomach.

i'm an EMT/ security gaurd at a retirement community( ie mucho walking ) and my job has actually banned them due to multiple injuries on the job including torn ankle ligaments two falls down stairs and a mva.

also as a chubby child i would feel so bad about myself every time my grandmother would mention the D word (diet). the visiit would usually end in tears and to this day i'm terrified to go to family functions with any kind of weight gain and usually find excuses out of them.

i think putting children on a diet is wrong however i think that a well educated child with a lifestyle of healthy eating with the occasional indulgences is the right way to go,it's a very fine line to much critism can create nuerosis and to little leads to a lack of education on what food does for the body.
