I did this for a very long time and lost a lot of weight, and then it all came back. Undereating causes problems with your metabolism slowing way down and thus making it harder to maintain your loss at a resasonable caloric intake. I also had many issues with trying to sleep. And I was definitely overstressing my body. How…

Stop weighing yourself everyday. Your weight can fluctuate so much day to day. I used to be a slave to the scale myself. Also, you do need to eat more. Eat back your exercise calories. 1200 is already a deficit for you. Follow the advice of the other posters and read the thread provided. Keep it up - you are doing great!

Right now I'm pregnant and my doc has limited my exercise to really just walking. But after the baby this is my plan to finally get in the best shape of my life so would love to join! (baby due around Christmas)

Well, if you are borderline diabetic maybe he thinks losing weight will help rectify that. And eating at a calorie deficit, whether low carb or not, should get you there. Then perhaps the "borderline" will go away. Just a thought. A lot of type 2 diabetes goes away once people are able to lose weight.

that happened to me as well - i would eat at a large deficit during the week and then eat a burger and fries on the weekend and gain 2 pounds. and it stuck around. i have since learned that years of too much cardio and eating at too large a deficit hurt my metabolism. You need to figure out your TDEE and at the most a 20%…

How long ago did you increase calories? This takes time - I went years with overexercising and too little calorie intake. You will see a gain in weight initially as you get things back on track. Also, if you just got back from a holiday, you will see an increase but remember it takes 3500 calories EXTRA to produce a pound…

What do you have your weight loss set to - 2 pounds a week? 1 pound per week? with only 15 pounds to go, it should be at .5 per week and it will give you more calories to eat.

Interesting. I went through the same thing and saw 3 doctors about it. One said I probably had sleep apnea, another asked if I was emotionally eating. No one said to me - you are eating too little for your body to run sufficiently, you need to increase your calories to a more reasonable level. I showed them food diaries…

this. Same thing happened to me - yet for years couldn't figure out why I was gaining weight. Since that took years, I've had a difficult time getting it back on track. Listen to these people, they know what they are talking about.

Listen to Trog - he's lost 153 pounds. I lost over 50 pounds at one point doing exactly what he says not to do - eat 1200-1500 calories a day and burn 600-1000 in exercice and did not eat them back. And then gained all of the weight back. Do it sensibly and it will be easier to maintain.

this. with lots of people using the equipment and it never being calibrated i would go by what your HRM says. it can tell your level of exersion versus the treadmill.

Hold on...the cost is $4.34 per serving of shakeology. But all of these people are also adding ingredients to it to make it edible - peanut butter, almond milk (a lot more expensive than regular milk), bananas...so in the end its probably more than $6.00 for a meal.

I bought one out of our candy machine yesterday - ate 1/2 of it yesterday, the other half saved for this afternoon :)

Awesome example of getting the whole family active - including the dog!! Excellent work!

Basal Metabolic Rate - the number of calories your body needs just to survive, not including any activity at all. As if you were in a coma all day. Many people on here suggest you don't eat below those needs daily as it can make your maintenance difficult.
-
Follow this advice. It will keep your metabolism working well and you'll be able to maintain at a higher caloric intake.
-
You don't need to workout to lose weight - you need to be at a calorie deficit. That said - there are numerous benefits to working including all that you states, plus it allows you to eat more :) Keep it up - I love spin and kickboxing!

girl you have lost 42 pounds - congrats!! Those damn BMI charts are not accurate. I wouldn't focus on that. Athletes are considered "obese" because of their weight but they have less than 10% body fat - the BMI doesn't take that into consideration. You are healthier and you have lost a TON of weight. Good for you!!!

[/quote] Sounds like you went into it and changed everything, cut back your intake dramatically and have managed to lose 29 lbs in less than 3 months by starving yourself. Understand 10 lbs a month is NOT normal..That is VERY aggressive..unless you happen to be over 400 lbs you are losing WAY too quickly. When you have…
