I did a workout tonight and wore my HRM - it was very close to what MFP said, few calories higher actually. So if I don't use my HRM I know MFP is pretty close!

Great job!! well done- and keep it up!

Great post - and very truthful. I work with a gal who is clearly in great shape, pretty muscular naturally. She was told by the nurses she was Obese according to the BMI chart - she could maybe lose 10 pounds but Obese? Phooey to that...

Best. Excuse. Ever. Wowzers!!!

Haha!! So...you can eat boiled eggs and saltines for lunch but not whole foods like chicken, potatoes, veggies, and fruits? That is hilarious!!

500 calories in the whole scheme of this weight loss journey is nothing!! Brush it off, pick yourself and move on. Tomorrow is another day. Remember...it takes 3500 calories to gain a pound and if you are working on a deficit for the other 6 days you will lose something this week!!

Holy macaroni! You look amazing! Thank you for the motivation to know this can be done!!

My hubby is going to cook cornish game hens on the grill...probably have baked potatoes and some veggies with it. Can't wait!!

I can't view your diary - I want to make sure you are eating enough. I was eating 1500 calories a day and burning 700-800 a day and couldn't lose any weight - I was only netting 800-900 calories a day, not enough to sustain my body and my metabolism nearly stopped working. Make sure you figure out your TDEE (total daily…

I can tell you from experience - eating 1500 calories a day, burning 700-800 a day and still not losing - because I wasn't giving my body the proper calories it needed to survive. I'm now eating 1900-2000 a day (much happier by the way) and losing. Also - if you could eat more than 1200-1500 calories a day and STILL LOSE…

Your diary isn't open so its hard to give feedback. I know I was working out crazy and eating healthy for a long time and gaining weight when I ate like pizza or a burger or something. I was "NETTING" too few calories. You need to figure out your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and eat no more than 20% less than…

Feel free to add me!

It is an awesome feeling! My NSV today - my jeans are baggy, almost to the point where I can pull them down without unbuttoning. Love it!!

I don't think anyone said it was the "ideal". It was - you can lift weights and still look like a woman. Not that everyone has to look that way...

This Love Let's Go as well. I also love Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida and Linkin Park's Bleed It Out. And nearly anything by Static-X

Agreed about the need to increase calories. I had a sports dietician put me on 1200 cals a day even though I was probably burning close to that every day in my workouts (running 1/2 hour in the morning before work and sometimes 2 hours in the gym after work). Which means my body was not netting any calorie intake. Be…

Those things for me are more motivating than the scale moving. It's awesome to feel strong and have more endurance. Good for you!!

Had it - it just finally went away on its own. Actually had it in both feet and got a cortisone shot in each. My advice? Do the stretches religiously and the frozen bottle of water under the foot. And take it easy - I gave up running when I got it. Sorry, I know it sucks but that is what I had to finally do.

Be happy to support you - add me.

I will send you a friend request. I have about 80 pounds to lose and I'm also looking for strong motivating friends to help me along the way!

For a long time I was working out like a maniac and maintaining about 1500-1600 calories a day. I lost a ton of weight fast. Then I gained most of it back. I was tracking calories, using a body bugg and still couldn't figure out why if I had 3 pieces of pizza and a couple of cookies on the weekend how it would calculate…

This. I had to look it up too! Although I had a good idea what it was...

I went on an hour long hike today - enjoying my time off and the awesome weather here in Phoenix.

I would like to be added as well. 4'11 with a long way to go!

I would recommend doing 10 reps max to build muscle. 3 sets is a good number. Once 3 sets of 10 reps starts to get easier I will increase the weight on the last set. Then when I move to all sets lifting the same weight I generally start at 6-8 reps. You want to lift heavy to build muscle and I find that's working for me.…

awesome job! You should have a party!

I eat the same thing every day for breakfast, mid morning snack and afternoon snack. I do change up my lunches and dinners. That helps me figure out my calories relatively easy. I should note that this is M-F. Weekends I change up what I eat and I need to be better about tracking that for sure.
