I missed this yesterday..but here I am today! Name (or how yo prefer to be addressed): Kelie Where you are from: From? Nowhere, military brat who moved every few years. Currently living in Salt Lake City :) What you do for a living: I'm a marketing advisor/graphic designer for a children's resale franchise How do you like…

Thanks for jumping in and taking charge!

Here's the signature banner for November!

I got burned out on salads over the summer, blech. I used to love them but right now it sounds awful, plus it's freezing here. Here are some of the things I do: Have you tried shirataki noodles? I don't like the straight up shirataki's but I do like the shirataki/tofu mixed noodles. They are insanely low in calories and…

I went pescetarian about a month and a half ago so if you need ideas, I'm your girl.

I am having a lame time today. I lost no weight at all this past week. To be honest, i didn't try extremely hard but I did have a deficit every day, so what the heck? Is my body just completely used to eating 1400 calories a day that I maintain my weight at that level? If so, uber annoying!!

I have a leeeetle problem with Thursdays in November. I'm a pescetarian and don't eat turkey.

Ceviche recipe! What you'll need 4-5 Fresh firm-fleshed fish filets (that's a great example of alliteration right there!) About 15 limes A handful of jumbo shrimp - cooked 1 cucumber- diced 1 red onion- diced 2 roma tomatoes- diced 1 tsp garlic powder 1 good squirt of ketchup (yes, seriously) 1.5 cups of Clamato juice Salt…

I did it! I ran my first 5K yesterday and it was amazing. I'm already signing up for my next one. The best part, I beat the goal I'd set for myself by 3 minutes.

My recipe for the day is quick and easy, and tasty. I bake tilapia filets in the oven at 350º with copious amounts of fresh squeezed lemon juice, pepper, and garlic powder. By far my favorite dinner ever.

Congrats Thing it to Win it! Bask in your short-lived glory

I feel like a weenie saying this, but I can't do planks. I tried again last night, but I simply cannot hold them for more than 2 seconds before flopping to the ground. What the heck is with me? I can run, I can Zumba, I've done P90x with the boyfriend, but this simple little strength exercise has kicked my *kitten*. Do you…

This is going to sound gross (it did to me at first) but this is my favorite breakfast: A piece of toast (I use the Sara Lee 45 calorie bread, yum) 2 tbsp cottage cheese 1 egg, cooked over hard 1 tbs of hot salsa I top the toast with everything else. It is SO good and satisfying.

I'm in Utah, tons of killer hiking spots here, too :D However, we just entered our cold snap so that's soon ending and snow-shoeing season will begin shortly.

I actually tried the DVDs at home first so I could learn the steps before joining a class and looking like a fool. That being said, I push myself WAY harder in the class because there is more accountability. I am not a great dancer and I find the steps challenging, so for me, it was great to watch the beginning Zumba…

I feel like Zumba mostly works the legs, however I will occasionally feel some soreness in my abs and sides from all the shimmying and whatnot. My calves and quads are ALWAYS extremely sore after an intense Zumba workout, though.
-
I've tried them twice in the past few days and I LOVE them, however, they are causing me a certain set of gastro-intestinal issues. :embarassed: Is that typical when you first try them??

I grew up in Alaska, I feel your pain.

Well hello there miss Lorrine. Glad to see you finally here :)

Since it's October now, is anyone planning to wear a sexier costume this year, just because you can?
-
I had a gain today, too. First item since July, I'm freaking out! I had great workouts and ate so clean over the weekend, too. I'm trying not to let it get to me though because I feel great! This is the most fit I have been in my entire life and I can only imagine what I'll feel like when I actually get down to a normal…

If it's too gruesome, let me know, haha. Here is the code:

What about this?

If nobody has any initial ideas, I'll just start playing around with a team banner. Are we all female? Also, does Abnehmen mean anything special? It's German word, I know that much.

I did tricep chair dips in my office all day at work last week. The funny part is the front wall of my office is all glass, so people walking by can look in, but I don't really care :)
-
I know I'm late, but I worked all morning and didn't get a chance to breathe. Since I am on steroids for an allergic reaction, I'm taking it a little easier on myself but I can't let today pass by without issuing a challenge. I challenge someone to do more minutes than me on an elliptical machine this evening.
-
It is a pretty evil challenge. I hate them, too. I figured if I made it a challenge, I'd be more motivated to actually do them myself :D
-
Now there's a challenge I can (maybe) win! I drink like a fish...err, water that is. I accept your challenge!

Hi Folks! I'm new this week to Team Abnehmen and ready to kill it! I live in Utah and am currently mourning the slow but imminent death of summer, and thus with it my hiking season. Boo! I challenge someone to do more chair dips than me tomorrow. If you don't know what a chair dip is, you can learn by watching this video:…
