  • Plyometrics done, on leap day! How ironic

  • Chest and back for the first time in what feels like forever. Amazon JUST delivered my push up bars so I gave them a try. OH MY GOD! They were so hard. I feel like my push up totals were half what they were once upon a time, but so much harder and deeper so shrug, probably all for the best. ARX for the first time in a week…
  • Core Synergistics tonight then done with week 8. Looking forward to getting back into chest and back for hte first time in over a month
  • Rocked out some yoga. Did crane for a full minute for the first time ever and it just felt so effortless. Who knows what clicked but I'm glad it finally did.
  • Blah. Got home too late so had to do my kickboxing today instead.
  • Weather was too gorgeous to only spend it stretching. Went for a nice jog ~3.5 miles. It felt so wonderfully effortless. That alone has spiked my p90x devotion to new heights.
  • Going to do stretch tonight. Knees are a little sore this afternoon.
  • The program itself insists that the majority of changes happen during those final 4 weeks of the 13 week program. Since you are right there keep it up for the next month and see if it makes a difference. Maintaining the same calories you've been eating over the course of all 3 weeks works because the muscle you have been…
  • Know who's truly a cheater? Wesley in his 'horse stance'. He's basically standing with straight legs. Anywho, finished up yoga this afternoon and I felt like I truly brought it. My reaches were further, the burn in my thighs was more tolerable and overall I just felt so accomplished! Kenpo tomorrow but I think I'll do that…
  • Well...I'll just keep at it. On week 8 right now, but if you need motivation we'll always be here!
  • I'm starting to regret not taking a before picture, but keep it up! Do you notice that you're standing straighter too? Core - activate!
  • Looking forward to core synergistics tonight. Haven't done it in a month. I remember being very uncoordinated with the dreya roll...time for some revenge!
  • Just a quick update: 7 weeks of p90x done!
  • I like the paper towel analogy! Totally stealing that. Towards the original poster - don't let it get you down. You're not in this for vanity, or some sort of quick fix. You're in this for the rest of your life. No one who works out regularly and eats clean as a lifestyle change comes out at the end with zero results.
  • Done with week 7, bring on some recovering?
  • I'm almost 100% I will go from week 13 recovery straight into a p90x/insanity hybrid. I don't think I want to do straight Insanity as I think muscle is important if you're 6'2". String bean no es bueno.
  • Yoga gets slightly easier each time...slightly. Then you have a hiccup and it gets harder, then you just keep at it anyways. Eventually those right angle poses won't make me want to die.
  • Legs & Back done!
  • Never updated Back and biceps as I hopped in a car and was stuck in traffic for 7 1/2 hours. bleh. Love that program though. Did yoga in the hotel room, and off to legs & back now. Almost recovery week!
  • I'm seeing why recovery weeks are built in. Just finished plyo and it was likely my worst outing since week 2. That or I just overexerted myself at the start. At the end I looked like I had jumped into a pool so I guess I was still bringing it. Shrug.
  • A single reese's peanut butter heart - 170 calories bestowed upon me by the fiance. I allotted the calories so felt no guilt.
  • Chest & Shoulders done. I do enjoy that workout quite a bit, although my chest is entirely gassed by the end of it.
  • Feel free to join the group p90x 2012. We can all motivate each other.
  • Kenpo and then I'm done with week 6. Halfway done and already starting to feel like a rockstar.
  • Be forewarned, you WILL be sore the entire first week. Just power through each exercise as best you can. Do your best, don't feel bad if you're not keeping up with the people in the video, and just know that persistence will pay off in the end.
  • I'm finishing up week 6. I love it. I'm getting stronger and leaner on a daily basis. The scale isn't moving, but I'm actually starting at a healthy weight already for a 6'2" male. For those who claim it's boring, how is doing X minutes on the elliptical trainer, treadmill, or cycling through the same barbell/dumbbell…

  • So I'd been getting progressively better and better at Yoga with each passing week, or so I thought. Today I was just so much stiffer than usual, falling out of poses, and overall just not having all that good a time. Hope it was just a fluke and next week will go more smoothly. Anyone else have days that just seem 'off'?
  • Really enjoyed back and biceps. I feel like I'm making solid progress. Yoga today and unfortunately I won't have my normal yoga group.
  • Howdy all. I'm a 4th year medical student getting ready to graduate in the spring. I first got into a regular workout routine in college, then let it slip some towards the end, really got back into it my first two years of med school and then dropped off completely for a year and a half. My goal is to go into residency…
  • Looking forward to plyo tonight. Didn't expect I'd be saying that back when I started!
