Sorry deb, seems this forum died months ago. Keep up the good work though

I create too much of a sweat slick for wood. I constantly feel like I'm about to take a tumble. Carpets make the workouts far more manageable. Take a look at your shoes, maybe those are the culprit.

Unless you already are in decent shape Insanity will be a long exercise in sitting around gasping for air while the people on TV are still going strong. I think P90x builds a very strong base if you aren't positive what your goals are or could just use sculpting everywhere. That said, after P90X I would encourage trying…

So excited I get to restart chest/shoulder/tri & Back and Bicep month. I miss those workouts a lot.
-
Keep up the hard work. Workouts are getting done but the diet has taken some hits

I cheat when I feel like I have to, but stay on track whenever I don't feel that a particular cheat would make me happier than just eating healthy. As for exercise, that 'fake it till you make it' is entirely true. I hated working out, and I still hate anything involving leg days as I'm gasping for air 5 minutes in and…

That depends on how much you want to spend. There are several pairs of new balances that people seem to like, as well as Nike Air Max+, which is apparently what Shaun T from Insanity swears by. I just ordered a pair of MX758 from New Balance which should work much better than my current Reebok ZigTechs (fantastic for…

So my fiance and I just finished a full round of P90x. As a guy I found huge strength gains and visible physique improvement. She lost 12 lbs and continue to receive compliments, although feels that she didn't seem to notice where those pounds melted from. That said, for both of us our pants seem to fall around us (time to…

So for round two what are people doing for diet? I'm going back to the phase one diet to see if it can strip away that last layer of abdominal fat.

Think today was to be X Stretch...although I'm too jazzed up to properly just take the week off...so I ran about 8 1/2 miles instead. Whoops. At an 8 minute mile pace that's not something that I would have just done on a whim 3 months ago lemme tell you!

I'm impressed. I simply cannot do ab ripper after legs and back as I just feel totally wasted. I often have to squeeze it in elsewhere in the day.
-
I followed the nutrition guide to the T, minus one cheat meal a week, for about the first 9-10 weeks. The last couple of weeks slacked a bit, but I will be going back into roughly the same pace I started when I start my second round. I will tell you this though: I have seen INCREDIBLE results following the program and…

Last resistance workout of the week is in the books and I gave it my all. After all was said and done, managed 130 total pull ups in the Legs & Back routine. That's leaps and bounds ahead of where I thought I would be back on January 2nd. Time to slog through recovery week and then start back up with round 2.

Replaced kenpo with insanity power and resistance....which would have been alright had I not given blood today. Not my smartest idea, but I'm making sure to hydrate

I will jump right into a Round 2, albeit with Insanity worked in 2 of the days just for a change of pace. Unfortunately I will be interrupted for 2 1/2 weeks at the end of May into June for a trip to Europe so won't be able to do 3 months straight again. Then again, if I can go straight through from January through May, 6…

Had to burn my rest day early and still had to take another day off, blargh! Replaced my final plyo workout with Plyo cardio circuit from Insanity. It just arrived in the mail so I couldn't help but try it out. Sometime this week I'll have to catch up. I feel like I will just combine yoga and kenpo (or a cardio equivalent)…

You can also watch tv/hulu/netflix/whatever while you workout. I find that the extra distraction passes the time very well.

I'm still shocked you're essentially doing a super doubles program. That's intense. Did legs and back last night and almost felt like I was going to die afterwards. Finished that last pull-up (110 total this time around) and started feeling nauseated, then had cold chills and had to lie down for a couple of hours. So that…

I'm not sure if you might have some sort of tendonitis. If you're worried you could go see your PCP or an ortho doc. Alternatively, consider trying push up bars and see if that helps. Be warned - they make push ups substantially more difficult.
-
But isn't that what it's all about? Everyone has the time in their life for this, they just don't want to face it. As soon as you get home, do your workout. So what if you have to eat dinner later, that's why there are so many snacks built in. Just make sure to eat your snack later in the afternoon. There are people who…

Updates on the week: Had my match day for Residency yesterday (seems that I will be moving to Vermont!!) and have been doing some celebrating this weekend, so the diet has a bit more alcohol than it should.. Anyways, started yesterday morning off with a 5.3mi run first thing to take my mind off the day. Today knocked out…

Excellent goals. Keep up the good work. 4AM requires far more intense motivation than I think I could muster.

Did plyometrics yesterday morning. Much tougher workout immediately after waking up than saving it for later in the day. Hunger plus tightness and all that jazz. Went to another Bikram Yoga class in the evening. Had to stop for about 5 minutes or so feeling lightheaded and nauseated. Could have been the early morning…

You can always just bump the week 4 posts from before if you would like. Don't have to be on the same week as someone to still be held accountable. For instance, I still remember how sore my lower back felt after my very first core synergistics routine. The 'stocking the shelves' maneuver was tougher than it seems!
-
I will be starting a p90x/insanity hybrid in 3 weeks, but I want to finish my first round of p90x first. Starting week 11 tomorrow. Feel free to add me and you can be an expert when I'm whining about how I'm not in sufficient cardio shape :)
-
Very nice work! Only will do more and more now that you've reached that benchmark. Did my legs & back routine yesterday. Managed 107 pullups. That's the first week I've managed >100 on the legs and back routine. During back and biceps I only manage 50-60, so goes to show how much the other exercises wear you down. Instead…

Standard kenpo. Legs were still sore from yesterday. Bring on week ten
-
Legs and back done. Was able to do 20 chin ups at the start so that was a pleasant surprise. I think overall I ended up with something like 90-92 total pull ups? Can't wait until I can bust out 100 in a single workout.
-
Yoga didn't go as well as last time. My lower back was tight the whole morning so I knew I would be fighting to keep up to what I've come to expect. Couldn't stay in Crane (sad face), but right angle pose felt easier. Now time to ponder the hours until Legs and Back tomorrow. Ugh.

Shoulders and arms complete. Went pretty well I guess.
