Okay.. so first off, I am not crazy. LOL! I recently started doing something because a girl at work lost 50lbs and I asked her what she was doing. I work in a kitchen and find myself eating little bits all the time, as well as keeping up portion wise with the guys I work with. It was getting out of control. I downloaded an…

That's what I thought.. but I felt like everything I read was telling me something different. I think that the biggest thing about the fast was I realized how many times I go to put little bits of food in my mouth. It really has made me aware of that again.

If you are not used to working out, you will gain muscle first. You probably will see inches lost before lbs. Just hang in there! you are doing this (hopefully) to be healthier and not just to lose weight.

I eat them at work sometimes ( which I admit, I feel terrible about as a chef!). But one of my biggest issues is portion control. Mostly when the buffets from lunch come back ( all of the sauces loaded with cream and butter). Nothing we prepare is very healthy. Delicious, but not healthy. But if I eat a lean cuisine with a…

I love the starkist tuna pouches. I mix one with 1 T of light miracle whip and eat it with 100% whole grain crackers, a romaine and spinach salad with Kraft light italian and a serving of fruit. Less than 400 cals and it is a decent amount of food. Lean Cuisine makes some pretty good frozen dinners. They are the top…

I was at work when I overheard 2 of my co workers talking about me. One of them said " Yeah she's to old and fat for you huh? ad the other one laughed and said " Yeah.. I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to do her.." Needless to say, that was all the motivation I needed to start eating better and exercising.

You know... the great thing about soup is it's low calorie... the bad thing about soup is.. it's low calorie and easy to digest, which leaves you wanting more in no time flat. For me, I love soup. But I had to find the right combo during the day to keep me from eating a whole bag of cookies when I was preparing dinner.…

A combo of rice and beans is good.. lentils are really good for you. Oatmeal has protein, any dairy has protein too. I am pretty sure there are other grain sources that have a good amount of protein as well. Can't think of them off the top of my head but a little googling can go a long way.

Aldis has some reduced fat whole wheat crackers that are awesome. 16 of them for 140cal. I love them with hummus, low fat cheese, peanut butter. They give me a salty, crunchy snack to replace potato chips and they are filling. Any fruits or veggies are good. Hard boiled eggs are also excellent.
