Does anyone else still have a hard time keeping up? Like when they do the 8 switch kicks & the 8 squat pulse. Like they've done 8 kicks and I'm still on 6 or so. Or with the warm ups when they are doing the suicides or hiesman I'm so much slower!

Oh, girl. I've had so many days like that, but even if you're not at 100% you're making more progress than just laying in bed. Also you're forming a habit!

so nervous about month two, but I'm sort of losing interest so hopefully something new will get my head in the game again! Oh, boy y'all. It's south by southwest festival in my town right now. .... I am so nervous about my will power this week!

I really wasn't into the workout today. Well, I've only done cardio and will do cardio abs after work (getting up that extra 20 minutes early is just... is just not a thing that will happen!)

Unfortunately, getting ready for the party doesn't leave any time for doubling up on workouts in one day. So, today I did tomorrows. Gonna make Saturday my rest day & Sunday I'll do the recovery! (I'll need it after the bachelorette party!)

Due to a crazy weekend ahead I did tomorrow's work out today. I noticed something. I don't really feel like I'm loosing weight or toning my core AT ALL, but I can tell I'm stronger and I noticed a muscle when I flex by my shoulder that I've never seen before . So, at least there's some sign of physical improvement!

I like the way you think!

I really had to push myself to finish today. But I'm so glad I did. Idk why, but pure cardio is my least favorite. But making pathetic whining noises helps for some reason ( so glad I do the videos before anyone else is up!)

y'all. I don't know what's up with me, but I felt super lethargic all day yesterday & this morning nearly killed me!!! I mean, I did it. I didn't really start falling apart until the last circuit of the up, down, back, push ups, etc... but when it started to fall apart I mean... I was like "you can do this, Katy" and did…

ok, good!

I have a question. Low plank obliques: is it like right+left= a rep or is each side one rep? I counted as each side one rep so I hope that's right switch kicks 43---->39 (but! I realized a few days in that I wasn't doing the switch kicks right in the first place so this is a wash) power jacks 37---> 40 power knee 70---->…

That does help, thanks!

Did your insanity package not come with that thick, thick yoga mat? If not maybe just get a regular one and lay it down in front of your workout area to use when needed

The Cardio and Resistance is my very favorite! I can already tell that I can do more pushups now than first time I did this. Yeah, can tell I'm getting better. Kind of disappointed that I'm not seeing in visible results, but very happy that I can feel myself getting better and stronger
-
I was kind of tempted to skip this and just go to the gym. I mean, I know I need the rest, but I'm not getting sore like I was the first week and that worries me that I'm not working hard enough? Though the pulsing squats are legit! Do you guys get in an extra workout on the recovery day?

I dread any time we do high knees or mountain climbers. I just can't! I hate them!!!!
-
I feel the same way! Oh man, today compared to doing the same work out even just Saturday is a huge difference. I recovered so quickly and wasn't nearly as sweaty. I'm worried though it means I didn't push myself enough. But the only breaks I took were in the last two rounds of the last drills. So, pat on the back, but…

Welcome, welcome!

I am finding things getting easier. Like I couldn't get my knees up in high knees before, but am seeing surprising amount of improvement there! Also I was able to get that real deep lunge stretch on one side today! However, the in/out, push up drills still kill me. I was only able to do 5 of the pushup jacks!!
-
Wont be able to do it til after work today. Is cardio abs today or are we talking about the future??
-
I think the cardio resistance is my favorite too! I really feel like I could have pushed myself harder. There were times when I took a break and thought it was more mental than physical. Like I knew I could go harder but thought I just needed it in my mind. Does that make sense? I'm going to try to be more mindful of this…

Let's all collectively give our selves a pat on the back for completing the day 5 work out. I do it at about 5am, so I'm in the same boat- having the rest of the day to finish. Strangely enough. The thing that just really, really got me this morning was the high knees (also mountain climbers- as those are just high knees…

I'm thinking I'll go do an easy 45 min elliptical today since the Recovery workout was kind of easy.
-
Yes! Power jumps are exhausting. I find the best way is to do like 5 with little skips in between and then take a break for 3 seconds. Also, I never thought I would say push ups were the least challenging part of a workout!!! Definitely need to work on my v push up form tho. Its so hard, but loving insanity so far
-
Oh my goodness! Me too! I took a lot of breaks for sure. I never thought I'd be saying the different variations of push-ups were the easiest (they aren't easy! but less exhausting) part of the workout!

I know! I wish I could post pictures on here. me the day after starting insanity: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/91901648620274938/

I think they have some of the videos online. Search the name of the specific workout video

OH MY GOD! I am already sore. Switch Kicks- 40 Power Jacks- 35 Power Knees- 70 power jumps- 20 (FML!) Globe Jump: 8 Suicide jumps: 12 Push up jacks: 12 Low plank obliques: 20

I'm going to do the fit test after work. Then tomorrow I'm going to try to do the first day work out before work (which will be a challenge since this means I'll have to get up around 5!). Has anyone else ever done it that early- will it be harder just waking up? I like working out in the morning. I feel like after work…

I've seen that! Oddly, I don't really like chocolate milk, but was thinking maybe mix 1/4 a cup with almond milk and like a banana or something
