Eggo Waffles and Pop Tarts.

I guess it would just depend on the economics of it. If making seats bigger absolutely caused more people to fly despite an increase in cost, then the airlines would make seats bigger. They'd have to find that sweet spot where people are still willing to pay an increased price to make up for less seats, AND there are now…

I am 5' 1" and I struggled with weight for a long time. My tip, which I guess goes for anyone of any height, is that while it's really fun to lose weight quickly, the faster you lose, the easier it is to gain it back. I used to be a yo-yo, losing tons of weight quickly and then I couldn't sustain it so I gained it back. I…

I have never been harassed at the gym. Throughout the course of 9 years of jogging, I think I've gotten "nice rack" comments 2-3 times.

I always assume that a woman is actually 15 lbs heavier than on their license and men are 2 inches shorter than what's listed on their license lol.

So take the Shakeology aspect out of it... Say I burn 1700 calories in one day, and I eat 1700 calories, exactly. What if I sit down and eat 40 grams of protein in one sitting during that day? Those calories will be burned, but will eating all that protein at one time be a waste of the benefit? Should I spread it out more?
-
I was wondering this too. I realized this weekend my husband and I (no kids) spend almost $700 per month on food, including protein supplements, but not even including eating out (which we do fairly infrequently but go big when we do). That's about 7% of our income before taxes and I live in a pretty cheap place in the…

Yeah, I feel that a lot, especially with all the Beachbody "coaches" on Facebook...a bunch of people recently did that 80 day obsession and I know people who lost like, 150 lbs in less than 3 months. Now I don't need to lose 150 lbs, that's more than my whole body lol, but I wish I could see progress that fast. Even my…

For the most part I haven't completely given up much, just try to eat it in moderation. Like macaroni and cheese or pasta, I almost never buy them but once in a great while will, while I used to get them every week. But one item I have not bought in years is cereal. I don't like the healthy cereals and I can't just eat one…

I'm 5' 1" and eat between 1600 to 2000 to maintain at 126-128. I do exercise quite a bit.

So at what point does it become not crossfit? Do you have to RX everything to be doing crossfit, and everything else is circuit training? Was my workout yesterday not crossfit because I used an 18 lb kettlebell instead of 28, and used 55 lbs for cleans instead of 65? If I have to use bands to assist with pullups, does that…

My goal is the middle of the BMI range.

Eating before running a race usually helps me (usually pb&j about 2 hours before) but never try anything new on race day - make sure you try it some time this week.

I've had this problem before. It was a pinched nerve. I went to the dr. and got muscle relaxers and an anti-inflammatory, which helped. The first time was about 8 years ago and it has popped up every one or two years. I just had a bout of it last week and I'm trying to find a more natural alternative to the drugs I am…

This is how I feel about it. I don't find the shows inspiring. But everyone loves a freak show and it makes you feel like "well at least I'm not THAT bad." When I first saw my fat fabulous life I watched a bunch of them because I felt good that at least I'm not Whitney who does nothing but make excuses. Then I realized…

This bothers me...not necessarily at the gym but at races. I hate when I'm in the middle of a race and someone passes me and they say "nice job, keep it up!" I mean it's different if it's someone I know, but I don't like random strangers doing it. I'm sure they have good intentions but I find it a bit condescending that…

So now lots of people have told OP that she cannot expect to lose weight in 2 days. OK, that has been beaten to death. She is still asking what commercial diets people have used and whether they have been successful.

Meh I would be apprehensive about having an overweight trainer. If I were training for something specific, like deadlifts or combatives, I would be OK with it if that person were really good at that specific exercise. I'd be ok with an overweight running coach if he or she was really good at running and good at teaching it…

Yes. I have a friend I like to catch up with who always makes it so that we are getting together at her house, and her kids are always around. We're constantly being interrupted by the kids and can't talk about anything remotely adult. It's annoying.

Depends on where you live, state and municipal laws could differ.

I just recently bought something called a "milestone pod" that measures your stride, it could help you determine if you are picking up your feet enough. It is only $25 and attaches to your shoelaces.
-
Also I feel that the guy and the girl's actions could have been interpreted differently with a different point of view.

Sounds like OP had a bad experience. But I agree with others that it should not be turned into an "us" vs "them" mentality and generalizing whole groups of people. I constantly see people post on the forums about how they are beginners and are afraid to go to the gym because they don't want people to judge them and she's…

When I first started I used mapmyrun and listened to music with my phone. I don't find that starting the app slows me down, it's only a press of a button, but I did find using headphones and selecting songs I liked to be cumbersome while running, even if I have a playlist. I tried a few different options like a motoactiv…

I think they say 2 weeks is OK and then any more than that, you'll start to lose fitness. I was recently out for 2 weeks from a sprained ankle. I came back and felt a little winded for a week or so but then I began to feel normal again.

I started running in junior high. I hated it, I was just on the CC team so I could be with my friends. Years afterward I began running while I was in law school. I was already in pretty good shape from other cardio activities, so I enjoyed running and got pretty good at it quickly. Then I quit and got out of shape. When I…

I can't eat only a few cheese twistie things, I have to eat a whole bag. Then I might get another bag later.

It does have a screen that provides the same information as a fitbit - steps, total mileage, and calories burned, as well as a separate screen showing all-day heart rate. I don't know why it would have that if it didn't intend to monitor all day, but either way I think the screen is wrong.
-
I feel like I have the same problem. I have a Forerunner 235 (with wrist HRM) that I wear most of the time and the number of calories it shows I burn on a daily basis seems really high for someone at my activity level and stats.

Yeah, I don't understand why some people got so offended by the question. Sure people can be attractive or unattractive at any weight, and of course it's what's on the inside that truly matters. But let's be real, if we're going by looks alone people do generally look better when they lose weight, unless they're going from…
