Everyone has to start somewhere.

I think some people do have larger frames than others, but not as much as people say. I knew a girl in high school who I thought was just "big boned" and that she would just always be bigger, years later now she's super tiny. I think there are different frame sizes, but it's mostly used as an excuse.

It's all relative. I mean there are times that I would certainly consider good times (like under 20) and bad times but I think all that matters is you are constantly improving!

The ones I do around here are all about $20, some have charities, some don't. Honestly I'd rather they be cheaper and not give t shirts because I have so many t shirts and I've never worn any of them. They're never more than that unless it's something special like Warrior Dash or Color Run (which was stupid and I wouldn't…

Last year I started running in June and did a 10K in October, and would have been ready earlier. I'd say go for it! When I started running I was already in shape, just not a runner, and I did bridge to 10K to get ready.

Oh wow, I'd never sign my boyfriend up for Zumba without asking him first, or anything for that matter unless it was something I knew he enjoyed. How rude.

Usually pasta says there are 2 oz servings and 7 servings per container. So you could just divide the container by 7. Usually the box has 14 oz. Anyway, I think any time it says 2 oz on anything (rice, pasta, etc) it means before cooking.

That's good... I don't want to take an extra day off because I really do want to do the 3X per week, I was just nervous that if I didn't wait until I was completely not sore I would injure myself, or not give my muscles enough time to repair and not get the full benefit of the workout.

Thanks I think maybe I was overtraining. I started to do a workout schedule that was supposed to be for more advanced runners, by adding weights 3x per week on top of speed training once a week, plus a day of cross training, all with running 5x per week. Maybe it was too much and I should build up more slowly. I'll…

I lost 15 lbs in 8 weeks - that got me into a healthy (not overweight) range. After that I couldn't do it any more mentally because I like food too much, so I just exercise a lot and try not to overindulge. So over the past year since I've started doing that I've lost 10-15 more.

My brother and sister both have it. My brother's always been skinny (poo on him) but my sister gained some weight during college. I don't know what she is doing but she has lost quite a bit recently (I don't know how much pound wise, but she lost two pants sizes). I know the doctor has put her on a low carb diet (30 carbs…

It's better than doing nothing

I would never do it for free. I would probably never do it for money no matter how good I looked, but I don't want to say never, because if I was really desperate for money to feed kids or if I couldn't pay back my loans, then maybe. Right now I'm pretty broke but I don't NEED the money, it would just be nice, so I…

I was going to say squats are probably your best bet, or maybe a modified version of a squat or a deadlift.
-
I also look at the weekly amount and not the daily amount, which is an option you can look at on the iphone app. Generally my goal is just to overall have more and more good weeks than bad weeks, instead of breaking it down by day. That helps me keep the long term in mind.
-
I just CAN'T use a treadmill. Sometimes it's useful for intervals because then I know how fast I'm going, but other than that, I just can't do it mentally.

Joy tea... really good...

I want to know out of curiosity

I've lost 29... the first 15 took two months, the second 14 has taken me 13 months. Still 10-15 to go, it will probably take me two years to lose that.
-
2 years after we met. And that happened 8 months ago.

I also have been doing new rules of weight lifting for women. I did need someone to show me how to use the squat rack but otherwise it's been pretty easy. It works all parts of your body, and I like it because I work my abs without having to get on the floor and do crunches! And it's a lot of variety. I wasn't a complete…

I'm not sure because I've been on the pill for years, and I've gained and then lost it all. I can definitely say it's not impossible to lose weight, but I don't know if it made it any harder. Also, if you used to lose more than 2 lbs per week, and now you're losing slower, it could be because the more weight you lose, the…

I got rid of them. It felt good mentally, like that big person was gone!

I'm doing a specific race in April that I'm going to train for, so yesterday I sat down and planned the next 5-6 months out. Of course I'll switch it up if life gets in the way :)

Thing thing about Zumba is that it can be as intense as you want it to be. You can back off from whatever the DVD/instructor is telling you to do and do an easier version, or you can add your own moves in to go with the instructor's moves. I definitely think it's more fun in a class though.

The general rule I think is that men don't think obese women are hot, but I know one or two exceptions. A couple guys I know ONLY like obese or orverweight women. And, after I lost 30 lbs, I ran into one of them, and he asked me if I was planning on gaining any back. What the heck?
-
She's probably just mad that she isn't her college weight. I'm 25 now, I slowly gained 25 lbs. throughout college and during the time I worked in retail after college. I started law school and I've lost 30 lbs so I'm smaller than I was in high school. So obvi she is wrong.
-
maybe if you choke on it or drown in it.
-
Not true, anyone can have them. I had them when I was chubby and out of shape just because I worked on my back muscles for two weeks. And just two days ago I saw someone in the locker room with them, and she was NOT fit at all anywhere.

I'd love to have a trainer make me cry! Although I'm sure that's not for everyone.
