When you feel like your muscles are getting a little bit TOO used to the current workout, it's time to move on. I think you'll always pour sweat no matter which one you do, just because it's an intense workout, but there comes a time when you start to feel like the workout you're doing will let you go on autopilot a little…

I am interested to hear the replies. I have knee soreness running on hilly trails sometimes...

I'm sorry... I got a little too busy last week and completely forgot that I had joined this group, so I wasn't adding up my points and didn't report them in time. :( I'll try to do better this week!

I am pretty sure they are. At least, the Ab workout on SIU is the same as the Ab workout on RIU. Those are the only two I've compared. To be honest, I have only done those shorter workouts a few times. :(

Check in for this week... [coughs, shuffles feet] This is only my second Slim in 6 day for the week. I know. Not very impressive on the score of daily commitment, but I did work up quite a magnificent sweat, so that should be worth something, right? :) Also, I did Burn it Up today because I wanted to see if I could. I was…

Eat a small piece of one thing and either share the rest with someone else or throw it away. It's better to waste some of it, if you absolutely HAVE to eat it, than to eat the whole thing and regret it.

I had the EXACT same questions when I did my 20 minute run for C25K. It was easily the worst run of the whole program for me, mainly because of the psychological jolt: you stopped running intervals and suddenly you started running one long run. It messes with your head! But... I promise you that if you just keep following…

I injured my shoulder a few months ago doing too many arm exercises, so you're wise to look out for that. :) I know I wasn't able to do pushups very well till my shoulder healed, but I was able to do the exercise where lift your arms above your head and with one hand, grip the opposite elbow (behind your head) and with the…

I have heard that the Shakeology is very good for you, but also very overpriced. Also, to be honest, I have gotten so tired of being upsold by Beach Body that I have no plans ever to try it. BB has some great workouts, but man... sometimes it's like they're a bunch of telemarketers.

When I was a kid, I went through a (very short) phase where I tried chewing up my food, then spitting it into the trash without swallowing it. I quickly discovered that tasting food only made me want to eat it more, so that obviously didn't work well.

I love that you used the word "befriend" here. :) People seem to forget that we already have a verb for "adding someone as a friend" and speaking as a former English teacher, it's fun to see it used correctly. :) Sorry... I promise I am not obsessive about grammar or spelling or whatever. Just couldn't resist this time. :)

I don't think it will do any harm that I've already started B210K, because I have a feeling I'm going to have to redo some weeks of the program. It's definitely more challenging for me than C25K (and I certainly did not find that easy!). I didn't have to repeat any C25K weeks, but I just feel like I have a long way to go…

Good job to all of you getting started! :) Don't worry about being a week behind us... I don't think anybody here is doing this religiously every day. (Well... I'm not, anyway!) Some of us are doing C25K and other stuff as well, so you won't be behind. I just had a question for the rest of you doing this workout. Are you…

That IS great news!!! And I think this type of NSV beats "I fit into my skinny jeans" any day (although those are always fun, too). Great job! :)

Oh, my gosh... my butt muscles hurt so bad I can barely walk and I want to cry every time I have to stand up or sit down!!! But I just tell myself that it will all be worth it soon. I might need reminding from time to time, though... :)

I started taking this for a while, but actually, I found something called "Zyflamend" that seems to help even more. Maybe look into both and see what you think.

Exactly the same here!

Thank you so much for the explanation! I appreciate it. :) Here are my weekly stats so far (Mon, Tues, Wed only): Owls: 13 Newts: 60 House Points: 815 Also, my starting weight is 220.0 (weekly weigh-in day is Tuesday) One more question... can I give my exercise/fruit/water stats for last week, too, so we can get some extra…

Can anyone tell me how this works? What are the points for and how can I start reporting them? (And to whom do I report them?) I'm in Hufflepuff House but that's all I know at this point....

Thanks for posting this! I have an app for it and I track it that way. I can't bear treadmills, so I've been running outside (brrr!) or on the track at the YMCA for mine. Today was my very first day of the program and it was easier than expected (I've never run that far before), but my speed was fairly unimpressive most of…

When I first started, I thought I'd have to do SIU for the whole time, but I think I ended up moving to RIU after a week. I was in pretty bad shape to start, but doing the exercises every day, your body gets used to it pretty quickly and was ready to take on more. I guess that's why all their testimonial people have such…

Absolutely you can do it! The important thing to remember is that we can go slower if we need to, and we can take a rest if we need to. Doesn't have to be perfect... just progress. :)

I haven't read any of these yet, but I usually don't get to the new ones until they arrive at my library. Some of them look very promising! :)

Harry Potter series Anne of Green Gables series The Barset Chronicles (series by Anthony Trollope) anything at all by Jane Austen :) Wives and Daughters (Elizabeth Gaskell)

Hello! I'm Kellie and I love, love, love to read. :) I usually have 10 or 11 books going at the same time, mainly because there are so many out there that I want to read, I can't resist starting new ones before I've even finished the old ones. I love used books, new books, audiobooks, and I'm getting a Kindle for…

November 3 was my graduation day, as well! I'm planning on alternating training days between redoing parts of C25K to improve my speed, and doing Bridge to 10K to improve my endurance. I ran my first 5K race before I'd completed Week 9 (33:02), and I was NOT in last place, even with that time. So anybody who's afraid of…

Hello! :) I'm not from the UK (although I did live in London for a few years), but I'm just getting ready to start Bridge to 10K and I'd love to join up with others doing the same. :)

Good job getting day 2 of SIU in! :) I'm not sure yet what I'm going to be doing for my workout today. I did Ramp it Up really late last night, so I wasn't quite ready to do it again this morning, but I may opt to run after work instead, then do the Si6 abs and stretching workouts afterwards. I'm hoping to start the Bridge…
