Looks awesome!!! I'm about to do the rest of my challenges now, but I had to try out the siggy to see if I got it added correctly. Here goes...
-
Yup... I just looked back and kristinmkartist said she was in for September (she wrote back after I posted that list) so we should add her name to the siggy. It looks like that makes our new team!
-
Aren't we missing a person on the team siggy? I thought we had 9 + captain...

Can't wait! If you're in doubt about whether you should sign up, just do it. It's so much fun and you really do get results.

Wow... you look incredible! Thanks for sharing your pictures... you're an inspiration! :flowerforyou:

I agree with kdmallon... any crunch is a crunch, and personally, I think reverse crunches are even harder than regular crunches, so you go, mommaski!
-
Haha... that's awesome. And you know what? I think I'm going to make every week a crunch week for me from now on! I could get used to not having a muffin top or pooch anymore!

Outwit da Chubby is hilarious! And... I think it follows our "Gimme the Skinny" naming pattern. I vote for that one. But we should still refer to each other as "Skinnies," of course. ;-)

Daily check-in... I made up my 1 extra mile from yesterday... by swimming it! 200 one-legged jumping jacks (looked totally ridiculous, but it worked!) 100 one-legged mountain climbers 200 crunches (that makes a grand total of 500 for the week so far) Going to have to put the lunges off till later in the week... hopefully I…

Yogurt is made from milk, which has lactose (milk sugar). It's not processed sugar--it's naturally occuring in the food. Unless you're diabetic or lactose intolerant, I don't think this is anything to worry about if you eat it in moderation. And yes... Greek yogurt is VERY good for you! Fage is my favorite brand, too. :)

I like it! :glasses:

Ok... we are HUGE survivor fans, but I'll have to think about a name. Most of Survivor, outside of the challenges, has to do with scheming and trying to make your meager supply of rice last for 40 days. Also... arguing about whether somebody got more rice than you and occasionally some crazy person taking the rice and…

Hey Skinnies... Gary posted again asking for teams for the September challenge. So far we've had the following people say they want to be on this team again: Captain: tagrady 1) u2fergus 2) heofon 3) kdmallon 4) sharesb 5) lmmiller1 6) kcgslp 7) szczepj 8) mommaski4 9) 10 We still need two more people to make a team, so…

You crack me up, mommaski!

OK... I know it was my idea in the first place to do extra to make up for our quitters, so I feel extra lame telling you I only managed some extra crunches today. :embarassed: 200 crunches (+100 from yesterday = 300 for the week) 50 military presses 3 sets of 21's For the extra mile, I was going to do an improvised…

Wow... talk about a NSV!!! Congratulations! :)
-
Hey, that gives me an idea... what if others of us on the team agree to do the reps for the challenge that the missing members aren't doing now? Would that qualify us for more points? Captain, can you check with Gary to find out? If so, I'll volunteer to do some extra.
-
That is an awesome suggestion about the chair rowing. I'm going to do it! :) Thanks! As far as the crunches, I totally agree... let's each do 1000 this week and show them what Skinnies are made of. Whoo-hoo!! Besides beating the pants off all the other teams, we're going to have the awesomest abs in the world after this…

Hey Team... anybody have suggestions about what I could substitute for the extra mile today? I'm still on crutches and my armpits are way too bruised already to consider trying to walk a mile on crutches. I've been practicing piano an extra hour every night as a way to burn a few extra calories (I know it sounds lame, but…

All I know is they are DELICIOUS. You can buy them at pretty much any grocery store... Walmart will have them significantly cheaper than a smaller grocery store, as you would expect. My favorite is the Garden Veggie Patties, which really just tastes like a vegetable patty (probably why they named it that). If you're in the…

Ok... for the challenge today, I did 3 sets of 12 woodchoppers, but I couldn't manage the squat kicks on only one leg, so I picked a similarly difficult leg exercise that I can do on my knees (where you get on your hands and knees and do a back leg extension) and did 100 instead of 50. Hopefully that will pass muster for…

kdmallon! Real pushups! You're doing awesome!!! I haven't been able to do a real pushup since high school, and I imagine it'll be a while before I get to where you are. :) Keep up the good work!

Hey tagrady... I think you're doing a great job as captain, so if you're willing to do it again, that's great. If you feel like you need a break, though, just say so and I'm sure any of us would be willing to step up, if necessary. I could see it getting old trying to beg people to turn in their numbers every week. :) I…

Man, our team is awesome... hooray for this week's biggest losers, too! I was curious... did you guys see that Gary's doing another challenger for September? It looks like they need to be teams of 10 this time, plus a captain. I just wondered if anybody from this team wanted to do the challenge again. I love Team Skinny,…

Hello... well, first of all, if you can possibly help it, DON'T get in the habit of snacking into the night if you have a late study night. Drink herbal tea or coffee or something, but when the other dorm-mates start busting out the microwave popcorn and ordering pizza and 2:00 in the morning, just say no!! I'm serious...…

I had a good experience using the Blackberry Curve a few years ago... the keypad was easier to use than the touchscreen functionality, I think. However, when my contract was up, I found a better rate with an Android phone and plan, and I'm very happy with that now. (HTC is a very good choice for Android... Motorola not…

I pledged 10 extra miles for the challenge this week... I finished 3 of those earlier this week, and I finished the other 7 today, so that part is done. :) Also finished challenge for today: 40 shoulder presses 50 crunches 1 extra mile Lastly, here's my recipe for this week (this is a weight watchers recipe): Fresh…
