Not sure I can do 20# by New Years at this point but will definitely try 10!!!! Starting at 172.4 this morning. My goal this week is to commit to MFP logging everyday and staying within calories.

As weird as this sounds, I almost need a daily support group... Like a live feed to check in with daily for accountability. I can't seem to stay on track for a whole day...ugh

Half maybe but full... Always made me hungrier. I am trying to get weight off to "start" training for full again... Ha

I have done weight watchers with success in the past but don't want to pay for meetings again when I know I can do this. I just need to commit and log the good here... Consistently. Also need to get my mind right with running again! Would love some friends to do this with!

I deferred my Chicago entry until next year... For a couple reasons. A new goal is to get to starting line 40 lbs lighter.

I have the book and read it. I agree with it but can't figure out the system to lose weight. I will check out quick start from library.

Looking forward to following your progress...I usually run a 4;50 marathon but would love to get 30-40 lbs off and BQ one day as well. I am not no-meat but am trying to be more plant strong!

So hard to lose while training for a marathon... I have tried and failed MANY times. Sometimes you under eat, sometimes you over eat. It's a hard balance when you are constantly hungry yet a 5 mile run is only 500 extra calories. That's not a whole lot. But runners sometimes think it's equivalent to eating much more than…

Always looking for new MFP friends! I have completed 17 marathons, more halfs, 10ks, etc. however, I am focusing on losing about 35 lbs... It's tough while running distance. Have a couple of halfs this spring while working on nutrition.

thanks! For my last two marathons, I ate Chick Fil A combo #1 EVERY Friday night before a long run. Got me through it fine but I DON"T want to do that again...wanting something healthier. :) I appreciate your feedback and will definitely keep the suggestions in mind! has anyone eaten sweet potatoes, brown rice for carbs?…

Thanks for everyone's feedback. I think a lot of this is going to be mental...eating and running! ha! Its going to be a different mindset...but I think I am ready. should be interesting this time around. Hoping for a PR this fall!! yikes!
