I would eat breakfast every morning... even if it was a handfull of granola or nuts. I'm pretty sure my downfall is never having eaten breakfast since I became a teenager.

My first husband weighed about 100 pounds less than me, and to be perfectly honest, I was flattered that he overlooked my weight issues and was proud to be seen with him. Made me feel human. He was a couple of inches taller than me, tho. Unfortunately, he didn't work out in the end and husband #2 is 6'2" and weighs more…

Y'all made me laugh out loud (literally) with all your "Only one day" comments!! But seriously, working out actually helps the cramps to go away and over time the exercise will lessen the cramps (maybe even eliminating them altogether) and shorten the cycle. True story.

Tony Stewart Fan here. Personally, I think Danica is good for the sport in that she is going to increase viewers, sponsors, and spectators, which is much needed. I think she's a talented driver and I hope she does well. I'm not a big fan, personally, but I LOVE that there is a talented WOMAN driver in the sport ...…

I recently completed Week 1 day 3. But at nearly 300 pounds, my knees are taking a beating and I'm finding it difficult to keep up the pace they have set. I can do the first 15 minutes or so okay, but beyond that I am really pushing myself HARD to finish. So I've decided to repeat week 1 with the hope that it will become a…

I like this one!! Made me chuckle!!!

Coffee first thing every morning, water all day long. On a very rare occasion, I will treat myself to a soda or an iced tea (no sugar, ever). I don't drink diet sodas ever. And about 2 or 3 times a week, I'll add a V8 to my lunch meal. This is the way I began to look at drinking ANYTHING other than water: since I am only…

Mine changes frequently (I have so many I have to give them all a chance) But as of this morning (2/16) my ringtones are: General: You got to move it from Madagascar Text: church bells (very melodic and pretty) Mom: The Sanford and Son theme song (my dad is a junk collector) Husband: is a voice that says, "*kitten*…

I find it fascinating that you said at 150 you felt thin until you saw yourself in a picture. My ultimate goal weight is 150. I don't know if I'll ever get there (I'm currently 297), but I hope I look as fantastic as you did at that weight!! You look amazing!! Congratulations on achieving your goal!!! :flowerforyou:

I was a skinny kid with fat parents and both my grandmothers were overweight. My mom made sure that her family was fed right. We ate healthy foods. She always made sure we had breakfast ... usually oatmeal, or cheerios .... bacon and eggs were a special treat on a Sunday about once every other month. Same thing with…

You don't have to eat it all in one day. Just eat one piece and either put the rest away (if you are strong enough to not eat anymore) or throw them away. Problem solved... and it was a REALLY sweet gesture!

Good luck, young man!! Just remember, focus on today. One day at a time. One step at a time. One pound at a time. You'll do great!!!

I have been heavy my whole life, so have never been a "clothes hound." I plan to become a clothes hound! hehe

Very well said... took the words right out of my mind!! All my life, I've been told, "You would be so pretty if only you would lose weight." When I look in the mirror, because I am still fat, I see ugly, tho I"m told I'm pretty... beautiful even. But I still see ugly. And I dread those words... "See? Aren't you happier…

What a beautiful story! Jake was one lucky puppy!!! And you were one lucky family to have had him in your life!

Yes Ma'am! I do! I have three children and a husband who do not know how to clean up after themselves. As a result, my house is always messy. I am going to school full time, and only have the weekends to clean. I have a large house that requires a lot of time to maintain. I finally decided that I was the one who needed…

There is a lot of good advice here.... the best of which is to just stop buying it and drinking it. Yes, you could switch to diet sodas, but the diet sodas are actually more harmful to your body than the regular kind. I used to drink sodas every day. Now I drink water. Think of it this way.... if you are allowed 1500…

My middle name is Denise. I love it because it's the name I use. I have never gone by my first name because I was named after my grandmother and she was still alive. My first name is Helen. I don't particularly like it but I love that I was named after my grandmother.
