I used to have a long list of pet peeves, but if I haven't learned anything else in this life, I have learned this... no matter how much people sometimes annoy me, I don't have to worry about them. I cannot change them, so why worry. I only have to worry about how I react to them, because that's the only thing I do have…

The sad reality is the check will probably bounce if you try to cash it earlier... then you're out the fee cuz you know she won't give it to you since she asked you to hold the check.

I can relate, Kathy. Cuz I'm right there with you! The only difference is I"ve been logging my calories in and out every day. But I haven't been using the boards for support. I need to get back into that. The problem is I have to sit at the computer to do that and I've been trying to stay away from the computer to get more…

Thanks for sharing that information Shanna! I don't eat back my calories, because when I do, I gain weight... but my daily caloric intake is generally around 1400 to 1500 each day. After exercising, my net caloric intake is "around" 1000 per day (sometimes less). But that's the only way my body will let go of the weight!

I'm sorry for your loss... this brought a tear to my eye as I have recently lost someone very close to me and I can relate to this. I love this quote!

I found a website that helped me to determine my Zumba calories burned, and I logged it under Zumba. Mostly it's whatever you feel comfortable with. And good luck to you!!!! I love Zumba!

The logging of your weight is for your discretion. I don't believe there are "rules" here that says you HAVE to do anything. If you don't want to log your weight, you don't have to. It's up to you! And CONGRATULATIONS!!! You DID IT!!!! :drinker:

I think it's absolutely a terrific idea!!! That's a great reward and a fantastic goal!! Good for you!

I do the bulk shopping once a week, and either go or send my husband to the store nearly daily. I seem to always forget something, or we run out of something.

I think that as long as you are happy with it and you are still losing weight, you are okay.

On a side note, it sounds to me like you made some really sound decisions last night!!! Congratulations!!! :drinker:

I ALWAYS feel guilty when I overindulge... and I feel guilty when I even THINK about overindulging, or eating the wrong things for that matter. But sometimes, no matter the guilt, I will think to myself, "screw it" and I do it anyway. The only good news to come of that is that I no longer mindlessly eat. I seriously think…

MODERATION!!! You can eat nearly everything, if you eat it in moderation. But for beginners, I would advise them to stay away from processed foods. At least until the change they are making becomes a habit. Once the habit is in place, it's okay to indulge once in awhile as long as it's in moderation. And drink LOTS of…

You know what? I don't know... it didn't say. I copied it just as it was written. Perhaps as much as it takes to make the mixture stick together?? Surely can't be more than 1/2 a cup??

A good friendship is akin to a good marriage.... there has to be compromise on both sides. With friends, it's quality, not quantity, that matters. Having many acquaintances or associates to do things with is a good thing, but when it comes to the inner circle, they should be people you could trust your life with and they…

I quit smoking in January after having lost about 50 pounds. Gained back 15 pounds. Was a little bummed but I knew I'd be able to lose the weight come summer time. THEN my aunt got real sick and I quit my job to take care of her and spent the next 5 months sitting on my *kitten*, more or less, and gained 35 pounds!!! I'm…
