I know Jillian says don't modify on certain exercises, like jumping jacks and even push-ups but you do what is best for you and will cause you ZERO injuries. When I first started working out my push-ups were against the wall and jumping jacks were modified. Do what is best for you but always push so you can improve. I can…

Oh what a great start by signing up for MFP and then by posting. As a teacher I always tell my kids the stupid question is the one that you are to afraid to ask. If you don't ask you will never learn the answer and better yet you are probably helping out another friend by asking since they probably had the same question.…

short answer is yes, it get's easier. Longer answer is: it takes the body a little while to adjust to any new routine, whether that be a change in eating habits or exercise, so don't expect changes to be overnight, there may be a delay before you see improvement. Also remember, when adding a new exercise routine, there's a…

Focus on your journey and let him see the difference in you. It is his decision to make, not yours! PUt your energy toward yourself and decide what you can do for you. That small step may make a difference for him. The more you hound him or your mom the less likely they are to make a change.

Make sure you are eating enough calories each day....when you under eat your body goes into starvation mode and turns many things you put into your body as a carbohydrate. I have found that TRULY tracking my food has helped me realize what I eat is causing my weight gain. As a teacher in a school setting, I have found it…

Dry shampoo has been a hair savor for me...I work out early AM and have to be at work within an hour of finishing my workout. I do not have time to shower, wash hair and get make-up on in that time frame. The dry shampoo keeps my hair looking great all day long and my hair actually styles better during the day.( I do…

Why not go alone...the only thing you have to lose is inches / weight. Most classes will have a few people start the same day you do without a friend.
