GREAT JOB! I think you've turned the clock backwards! Looking Great and Younger, too... Two thumbs up!

Still Lovin my Mathews/Mission Craze! Mathews is a GREAT company. Although it is the beginning of Turkey Season here... already counting down the days 'til BOW SEASON! (Mississippi Turkeys are tooooo spooky for me to hunt with my bow... not yet anyway)

Cherie... I hear ya on the Eating Properly not being as much fun! Good luck to you too! (The Bass are beginning to spawn here... some really nice fish have been caught -and released- lately.)

We currently have 2 "rescue" pups. Have no real idea what they are... both were abandoned in the Forest as little pups. (Different litters) One looks and acts like a Fiest/Jack Russell... "terrorist" the other... hum... some sort of ROUND terrier or beagle? Both are super sweet and smart. So glad I was able to give them a…

Blogging technology is a mystery to me... but I can't wait to hear what you have to say!

Another story like.....[My boyfriend's 13 year old nephew who is mostly a quiet kid & isn't very social, told the entire camp full of older men, uncles, grandfather, friends, etc. that he was sitting quietly in the woods the day before the season opener, just scouting a spot, when a small buck, (spike) walked right up next…

I think the scales are STUCK! Heading off to read the article. Thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:

LOVE the idea of freezing in crock pot bags. I have mixed and froze venison chili and meatloaf , then placed in crock for a ready to eat meal when I got home. CAN'T wait to try some of the other ideas.

We just had "Braised Rabbit" over the weekend. 1st time for me to try this recipe... YUM. I used corn starch to thicken the gravy, instead of flour & I reduced the amount of lemon juice a little. We were plesantly surprised at how tasty and tender!! http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Braised-Rabbit Prep: 20 min. Cook: 45…

NICE reward!!!

I've had several over the years. NEVER had a minutes trouble from ANY of my boys. I have a Jack Russell Terrorist/mix... Now HE is a handfull.... 30lbs maybe... constantly tried to bully and pick fights with my former pit. We had "Remi" for over 12 years before we lost him in 2012. My big baby left a big hole in my heart.…

CONGRATS!!!! Especially to the 1st timers....

in response to "meatloaf sticking to bottom" question - I've never had it to stick... even when using venison, there is enough liquid from the ingrediants... onions, peppers, etc. If I was using ground turkey, I might spray the bottom of crock with non-stick spray.

My hubby and I hunt. Bow and firearms. We hunt turkey and whitetail mainly. We live in a VERY rural area, so we hunt for many reasons. We are very selective in what we take, only taking what is needed and only taking quick kill shots. For us, wild game is the healthiest meats available. There have been several discussions…

Passed on a doe with my bow.... and have been harassed nonstop for it!... she was less than 10 yards... broad side. (First year to hunt with a bow) Does are legal in Mississippi, but at 78 degrees and mosquitoes swarming... I really didn't want to fight to save the meat. Soooo I video'd her instead. :embarassed: I'll try…

I use mine to make meat loaf... prepare any recipe you like, I mix mine the night before (using venison) , shape into a loaf - ready to go in crock pot just before I head out the door in the morning. When I get home, hot & tender. - yummy...

Sounds yummy! Going to have to try it! Like your Trophy in your pic.... I too am a turkey hunter. And just 3 weeks ago started shooting a bow. Congrats!

3 weeks ago I got my 1st bow and I am already in the woods with it. I have a Mathews Mission Craze! IT IS WONDERFUL. I am pulling 45 lbs , after starting at 28lbs... My whole set up.. including 6 arrows was less than $500. I am blessed to have a husband that has competed in archery and has hunted for years... so I have a…

Haven't tried it. 2 reasons... #1... not easily available in my "neck of the woods" - VERY rural here. and #2... sort of a "chicken", waiting for more real "research" (waiting to see how it works for others)... not waiting for someone in a white coat and a lab to tell me it's "ok". I have read that many, like you feel very…

You are SPOT ON! AMEN! Absolutely correct!

I was feeling "foggy" and heard Dr. Oz discussing some supplements that were great for memory, ... Skeptic as usual, I put off trying any. Then I passed the shelf at a retail store and there one of them sat...ON SALE... So I gave it a try... I wasn't sure if I could tell a difference... until I RAN OUT... THEN, for me, I…

THANKS for sharing.... I use both, climbing and lock on stands. I am oftern concerned about the loop in the cable that the pin goes through... rusting and me not knowing it... Those backpack straps can be annoying... but it sounds like they may have prevented you from taking an even harder fall. Good luck and safe hunting…

Video'd a NICE 8 point while my Hubby was bow hunting.... he passed it up,.... hoping that this week end I'd get a chance to "fling an arrow" at it. Wasn't that sweet!?! Needless to say... this week has passed at a snails pace. Hurry up weekend!!!
