I had just moved in town from out of state, new no one. Met a group of girls and they invited me to a party where Dh was going to also be. The whole way to the party they were talking about him. I had no clue who he was, even after I met him and was headed home! ha Anyway, they had planned on hooking us up, only I didn't…

While it *may* be possible, I would not personally stick a time frame to a weight loss goal. I would just follow the plan you have set in place and take the weight loss as it comes. It can just get really discouraging if you tell yourself you HAVE to lose 10lbs in those 5 weeks and it doesn't happen.

I swear by my Sugoi compression running tights. Nike also makes some good compression tights and shorts.

I have a Garmin 305 that I got as a Christmas gift last year. I love it and have had no issues with it at all. It does everything I want as far as pace/elevation, etc with all my runs. I don't wear the HRM strap as often as I should but find it's relatively accurate for me.

I am between lifestyle change and maintaining my healthy habits. I started this whole new lifestyle 2 years ago and have been successful. I came here to "finish" the job with my weight loss but to also find like minded folks to keep motivated.

Tricep dips and/or kickbacks, bicep curls, hammer curls.. that's all I can think of right off the top of my head.

Initially I did not set a weight goal. I just knew I had a lot of weight to lose. Once the pounds started coming off my goal was 10lb increments. Once I got to a comfy size 14 jean my goal became to get into a 10. Now that I am there and only 10lbs from what I weighed when I was wearing a 14 my goal became to stop focusing…

I am 5'2-3ish and currently weigh 164. My ultimate goal is 142-144 which is still on the heavy end but honestly after being stuck at 168 for a year I don't even care about the whole "ideal weight" chart b/s. I just want to feel and look good. Even if I never see 150, I want to be proud in my own skin.

My best friend signed me up to run a 5k with her. It took me 49 mins and then I saw the pictures. I knew I wanted to be a runner. I knew I didn't want to be grossly fat anymore.

It's a combo of my first and last names that was turned into a nickname when I got married. I was thinking about changing it but can't come up with anything clever or cute.

Fridays are rest days for me. I usually struggle with this but I know how important rest is. I will be leaving work early to head out for a road trip to see family (my dad!! I haven't seen in in 2 years)!! I am packing my running bag and will find somewhere to log some miles tomorrow morning.

Short term goals - build speed (I so wanna be faster esp on my long runs!!) and build weekly mileage long term - Full marathon (can't believe I am actually really saying that)

I have a Nike one that I think I got at a Nike outlet for under $5. You could also check out BondiBand.

First of all, congrats on your weight loss and success! I do feel the same way. Last year (after about 60 lbs of weight loss) a girl I hadn't seen in a long time asked when I had gastric bypass. I was highly offended. She assumed since my sis in law and father in law both had gastric that i had as well. It was my pleasure…

Glad to know I am not alone. There for a while I thought I was the only one with this issue.

I get hungry midrace in a half marathon so I use Honey Stinger chews. On my recent long run a friend brought Honey Stinger Waffles and we tried those... yum, like a cookie while running. I can do that. lol

I think I am going to aim for 4 miles tonight. I haven't ran since my 10 miler on Sunday due to some issues with my feet and shins. I've mostly been cross training since. Hopefully it's nothing and tonight's run will go ok.

I took Spin class tonight followed by an all abs class for 15 mins.

Hey guys! I'm Kim from TN. I started running a couple years ago. Started with C25k and didn't have much confidence in my running until a year ago when I met a group of local runners and started half marathon training. This year I ran 3 half marathons PRing the distance with each race. I've dropped 70 lbs in the last couple…
