I don't let TOM deter me from doing anything. Just a normal day. Run, lift, classes.. whatever is on the schedule today. If I feel bad, I take an ibuprofen and just go.

It's a combo of my first/last name which became a nickname with friends when I got married. It stuck. And I recently added the Runs13.1 because...well I love running half marathons!

You have a great smile!

My own success story. Seeing how far I have come and how close I am to goal.. it makes me want to keep moving forward. And I am also inspired and motivated by others who have been successful.

No idea. Maybe it's from the additional pounding of pavement? Are you typically prone to bruising easily? There are times when I notice random bruises on my arms and I always just assume I ran into something...lol..it happens! ha

You have beautiful skin!

This. I know for me that i do a lot of things for myself. I make myself a priority when it comes to my health...working out, eating healthy. But as far as materialistic things..nah. I'm pretty giving. My husband is very generous and will do for others before himself. BUT he also makes himself a priority when it comes to…

I have never noticed any kind of bruising from running at all. The only issue I have that is even remotely close would be with my toes/toe nails. Could it be something you get from riding that you only notice after your run?

NIke Asics Starbucks There's probably tons more.

I have 3 that I love, all which have a special meaning to me. Left foot - breast cancer awareness ribbon. Lost my nana a few years back to IBC. I was close to her so this is just something to remember her by and support the cause. Right foot- Colon cancer awareness ribbon (blue w/yellow heart). My dad was diagnosed last…

Moving Comfort for sure! My hubby bought me one as an early Christmas gift. I no longer need to wear 2 running/sports bras when I run!! I will be buying more!

Squats, lunges, running.. Those things have helped me shrink my booty and tighten it up.

<-- Total BE addict.

I started because a friend pushed me. I kept going because I was losing weight. I keep going because...what if I don't??

This really. It's just stuff and small stuff at that... After 13 years I've realized I have to pick my battles. Diet Coke cans on the side table and random shoes in the living room really are minor things (at my house).

One of my favorite recipe sites is www.skinnytaste.com Check it out.

I send them. Usually a picture card of the kids, no other details about how they are doing, etc. This year's card happens to be a family pic. I don't think it is rude if others do not.

I am not normally a very touchy/feely person. I DO hug my husband and kids. There are also certain friends that I hug when I see them or when we say goodbye. I am not usually the person to initiate a hug, but will hug back.

I also go with the above the neck rule. And for the most part I listen to my body... it's usually pretty good at letting me know when I need rest.

I'm hoping to be stronger, faster and much happier. I also think I will finally be able to accept the girl I see in the mirror. Oh and run a freakin' marathon!!!
-
Congrats! You are awesome!

I'm getting #3 tomorrow. So I say...yes tattoos!

Depends on what I am training for. Half marathon training... 4 days a week and roughly 25 miles. Nothing - 3-4 days a week and 15-20 miles. I need to find a marathon training plan and get to work.

double post

This. Just be proud that you are out there logging miles and know that no matter how fast/slow you go you are lapping all those still sitting on the couch!
-
I don't really make resolutions but my goals for 2012 are: ~PR my half marathon ~get stronger
-
Congras on a great finish! That is awesome.

I like Sportsbeans or Honeystinger chews/waffles. I usually only use a few beans or a couple of chews around miles 6-7 and 9-10. I find that I only need/want them due to being hungry more than anything else.

Get a heart rate monitor. I personally can burn between 100-130 calories running but there's just too many things that factor in there for me. I do notice the more weight I lose the less I burn...which sucks a bit. However, it does force me to push harder so I burn more!

10k race!
