I actually have talked to someone who knows about all this junk and I have gotten off IF, upped my calories, and kept my activity level at what it should be. After 7 days of eating more, I fast for 24 hours (I like the way my body feels when I fast at least once a week). First two weeks into that and I’ve dropped 3 lbs! I…

Yup! I totally would survive! I'd make a damned good housewife - I cook, I have the ability to clean, raise a kid, and quilt. I'd just run the village.

Just logged what I remember eating regularly at the beginning of this year, and whoa! 4,000 - 5,000 calories was normal! All processed, mostly take aways.

I'm a slow loser (actually, I got discouraged because I wasn't seeing fast enough results, so I took 2 weeks off...until I tried on the bridesmaid dress I wore at my friend's wedding 2 years ago and discovered it was a bit more loose than I had been when I last wore it - measured myself and found I lost 14" all over from 2…

I have been a binge and secret eater since I was tiny as well. I'm working through the emotional junk behind it (my parents asking me why I couldn't be more like my sister - feelings of inadequacy - hearing that I'm fat and ugly and useless from not only my peers but also my mom and sister...and the list goes on...),…

I'm over in Grapevine, so I have lake trails that are amazing, but I'm always looking for new places to walk/hike. My 8 year old son would probably dig this walk too!
-
I didn't know that there were trails around there! I don't live too far from there. Maybe I will venture out there sometime!
-
Holy smokes that is gorgeous!

I do this as well. 14 lbs lost? Shoot! Let's have a week of eating poorly! Oh, and exercise? HAHAHAHAH! -_- I still have 100 lbs that I want to lose, so a stone is just a drop in the proverbial bucket. Started taking walks in the morning yesterday and accomplished a longer walk this morning, then walked with my son around…

Perfect answer! This time around I am actually learning and not just doing things mindlessly. I am reading "New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women" and SO much is finally understandable!! My breakfast is also around 25-30 g of protein. If I get less than that, my day is screwed up and my eating is totally off.

You aren't eating enough. I eat around 2,000 calories a day, six days a week, and I lift/train 3-4 days a week and daily cardio (at least 8,000 steps). I try to keep my carbs at or below 35% daily with the majority of calories coming from healthy fats and lean protein. I have had to play with these numbers over the years…

When I started running earlier this year, I had the same issue and I ate and ate and ate to try to keep up with the never ending pit feeling. Turns out I wasn't getting enough protein. I have since started having knee issues, so I have had to stop running as much, but I am lifting weights and walking and to help curb the…

This. I use to think that logging calories at all was obsessive. I've come this far. Make it any more work intensive and I'm out.

I have done the up and down thing as well, and the thing that has made the difference this time is figuring out where the root of my over eating problem was. Lots of prayer to go with it, but it is absolutely essential for my journey to remember why I started over eating and to stop myself (pray) when I'm feeling like…

This made me happy!

^^What she said. You can't look all prissy and prim and proper 100% of the time. I'm okay if my $exy face is the one I make while lifting heavy at the gym. I'm not there to get a man, I'm there to feel better about myself physically.

^^ This. I love cardio, but I also love lifting heavy. Lifting heavy gives me a tremendous burst of energy the day after I lift that is all natural. I never get that same effect with cardio alone. Plus.... Yupppp!
-
^^ This. The only better answer that I could have provided is "proper English", but that would have made me sound/look rude...

There's ALWAYS an app for that. LOL A CPU. This just might work to my advantage....

You know what? I've lost 8 lbs in 6 weeks and I am thanking myself for at least starting. I feel better, stronger and have TONS more energy. I have never felt this way in the past with losing weight, but I attribute that to lifting weights. Holy COW does that give me a huge boost! Keep going girl!! You will thank yourself…

Since I'm at work, I can't get to YouTube, but try looking up MTv Yoga. Seriously awesome!!

One time when my son and I were watching a friend's dog at their place on a canal, as we were on our way back from our walk, there were a couple of girls doing burpees along the canal. My son asked me, "What is she doing?" (He's 6 and I have always reserved doing burpees for when he is not around due to the colorful…

I don't know what all everything that has been added here means. I'm new to weight lifting and am using a trainer to assist me, and she's amazing. I'm more posting for my own experience and so i can bump and read more of the posts later. After I lift, I generally feel like an over cooked noodle...BUT I also get this insane…

^ I like you! I try to NET 1500 per day, though my calories are set at over 2000. I eat at or above 2000 calories a day, but I tend to have 600-1000 calorie burns every day. I eat about half of my exercise calories back - rather, I eat until I am satiated, not to hit a specific number - however the net helps me keep myself…

This. I have cleaned up my diet a lot, but still eat out and have a cookie every now and then. I HAVE to have meat since I started lifting heavy, so being a vegetarian is not something that I could fathom right now.
