  • *Ahem* Because, when you're already 6'0" tall and work predominately with women, what's it matter if you are 6" taller than them or 9"? I'm an Amazon, either way =) Plus, they look dang good. However, I rarely wear them when going out with my husband (who is 1" taller).
  • That's so awesome! Running is an addicting and fun journey - I ran cross country and track all through high school, pretty much abandoned all exercise in college, and now have gotten back into the long-distance world. My avg half-marathon pace is 9min/mile (so 4:30/800m) - I've started throwing in more speed work into my…
  • Howdy! I'm a month away from 30 - 6'0" female who's lost close to 50lbs and maintained that for about 5 years. Currently just focusing on consistently upping my strength (I lift heavy!) and getting faster in my runs. I like Tough Mudders and half marathons and whiskey (neat!) and craft beer and squatting my own body…
  • Longest is 22 miles - was training for a marathon, but it didn't work out. Looking to change that this winter, though! 26.2, here I come!
  • I am down ~50lbs from my heavy weight in 2008, so I have maintained for around 5 years now. While I do occasionally cycle up around 10lbs (um, holidays!), as soon as my clothes start to get tight I reign it back in and drop again (plus, fluctuations are always going to happen). I now manage my portions and make exercise a…
  • I'm 29 as well! I've successfully lost (and kept off) over 40lbs for about 5 years now. Love to bike, run, and lift!
  • Oh, trust me, the "coregasm" is indeed real. Agree that this machine is pretty good on the delivery, but other ab exercises can induce it as well. For me, they've always been significantly lower on the Richter Scale than other methods, but are certainly not unwelcome =)
  • My first cup was generic-office-brew with a splash of chocolate almond milk. Second cup (thanks to a generous coworker) is THIS!
  • As a 6' tall woman who's favorite pair of shoes are 4" red leather peep-toes...I am in favor of heels =)
  • I concur that it might be a bit on the low side, unless you are very small framed. For example, my mother is 6'0" and weights about 137lbs, but also has extremely slender shoulders/wrists/etc. She is certainly thin, but no one would think she looks sickly or anything. I, on the other hand, and also 6'0" and currently weigh…
  • I typically drink 15-20 glasses per day (over a gallon). I have one of those Starbucks 24oz insulated cups, and I'm constantly filling it. Now, if you deny me water for too long, I start to feel parched =) It's my drink of choice!
  • About six months - lost 14 in my first 12 weeks and 7 in the second 12 weeks. Now I'm down another 10-15 and have been maintaining for about 3 years!
  • I can leg press 360lbs for 3x12. My thighs are about 24.5" (I also run and am 6' tall). I've never noticed that lifting heavy makes them larger - not sticking to my diet makes them larger! Darn holidays...
  • Hooray! I have done both a Tough Mudder and a Spartan Beast Race, and here's my 2 cents: - DO wear gloves! I've done one with/one without, and you can remove them on a specific obstacle if you need to, but they protect your hands on seemingly innocent things like sliding down a rocky-muddy-ledge into a water obstacle. Also…
  • December 25th - JESUS! #winning (and also, apparently, Sir Isaac Newton. BOOM!)
  • Mine are: 1. Not to buy any new clothes in 2013 unless there is a genuine emergency, like my running shoes spontaneously combusting. I truly have enough clothes =) 2. To use my every-other Friday off to meal plan for the following two weeks. Goal is 4 homecooked meals per week, 1 meal out with friends, and 2 nights of…
  • I'll echo everyone else - it's very possible, but you would be going pretty fast. If you feel that matches the effort you were putting into it, then it might be accurate.
  • I was told by a stranger at a conference that I was exquisite. Probably the best random compliment I've ever received =)
  • Hi! I'm 6'0" exactly, and currently weigh 163lbs. We all carry weight differently, so it's really going to depend on where it sits on you and what YOU are comfortable with! I'm currently working to get back to my low weight of 160lbs, and then progress down to 155lbs and see what I think. I'm still an 8-10 in pants (ALL my…
  • Hi! I'm 6'0" and currently 162lbs (down from HW of 214lbs). I'm pretty happy where I am; focusing on weights and maybe getting down to around 155lbs. It'd also be nice to have a size 8 the largest size I wear (currently an 8/10). If anyone wants to be friends, just send me a message!
  • Minimum of 120oz (one cup short of a gallon) up to 176oz
  • To eat healthy M-F (shouldn't be hard - I pretty much eat the same thing every day) and then NOT go overboard when I have a college roommate reunion this weekend. Goal is to weigh the same on Monday (08/06) as I do on Friday (08/03).
  • I fall in that category! Currently 163lbs and looking to get down to 155lb (MAYBE 150lb, tops). I eat 1500-2200 cals/day (depending on exercise), lift weights, and run when it isn't so dang hot out. Feel free to add me!
  • Trail Mix. Sure, the one with M&Ms isn't that awesome for you anyways, but even the healthier ones with just dried fruit and nuts....:::sigh::: Love the salty/sweet combo. My mother-in-law brought a 5lb bag of trial mix on our week long vacation in Hawaii, and I swear I personally ate at least 1/2 of it (but, that was back…
  • For me, I don't mind being "bored" with my food Mon-Fri and getting variety in on the weekends. I actually feel empowered and less stressed eating the same thing during the week. However, I also pick things I genuinely like - for example, my locked-in lunch for months now has been a salad with salmon, cherry tomatoes,…
  • That's really going to depend a ton on your position and how intense the game is. 90mins in goal? Probably not. 90mins as center forward in an offense-heavy game? Maybe. It also depends on your weight, fitness level, and HR. The only real way to determine what it is for YOU will be to buy a HR monitor and wear it during…
  • Hi! I used to work at Starbucks. The 90 cals is a glitch on the website. If you just order an "iced coffee" it would automatically come with the Classic Syrup (same a simple syrup). That's where the 90 cals is coming from. If you get it black, then it's about 5-15 calories, just the same as black coffee or an iced…
  • 6'0" tall, 167lbs and I have a 28" waist. Hourglass, baby =)
  • Yes, eating more WILL increase it. At my triathlon club, a guy came in that had been a professional jetski racer, and for YEARS he had limited his calorie intake because every pound = 1mph slower on the jetski (so he said). He ate about 1000 cals/day. At 5'9", 170ish pounds, you know what his RMR (or BMR) was? 1100!!!…
