OMG, so funny and so true!

Welcome! I have been on and off paleo for the last year.

Hot epson salt bath really does help. Hope they go away quickly.

I did my first RX WOD today. I'm so stinking proud of myself. It was probably one of the easier WOD we did but who care I did RX. 5- 10-15-20 progression 14# squat ball slams 24" box burpees 8:31 was my time.

Hmm you are obvisously not part of the paleo community. The community, in general, suggests you eliminate those things for a time, see how you feel, and reintroduce them and compare. Most people don't realize the things that make them sick (or that it is truly part of a sickness not just aging) until they are removed. I…

You look fabulous!!! I love your results!

I would recommend, "It Starts with Food". It is a 30 day elimination diet, and after you add things back slowly to see what you react to. I would bet gluten and diary are both issues for you (they often go hand in hand.)

This amazing and so true. I remember doing aerobics with my Mom (hey it was the 80s) as a child. That really stuck with my and taught my exercise can be fun and enjoyable.

I refuse it to call if "paleo or primal" as you get people going "did cavemen eat "peanut butter" or "ribeyes"? As I told my dr, I feel best when I'm not eating grains and sugar and when I am eating a lot more fat. As for cost, if you are buying both SAD and paleo food then your food bill with double. I get meat and eggs…

I agree we are slowly being killed by our food. The true problem is, those who know most about our health (drs) know nothing about food and those who know most about our food know nothing (nor care) about our health. Food companies are there to make a buck. They purposely make food addictive to increase sales. They don't…

ooo Thanks

My goal is set to 1700 (although my Tdee minus 20 is closer to 2000, I don't alway measure so I leave it at 1700 and if I'm still hungry I go over!). I track about 75% of the time. You are welcome to friend me, my diary is open.

Wow! Fabulous job!

I am about 7 weeks into crossfit. 3 weeks of on ramp and 4 weeks of real classes. I gained 10 pounds the 1st 4 weeks (it was during Holidays so my diet wasn't fabulous.) However, with the weight gain, my clothing stayed the same. I can see changes in my body as well. Now to peel the 40+ pounds of fat off of me.
-
You will be, but it is a good sore!!! I'm 7 weeks in and my BFF stated I sounded like an old lady standing up at lunch yesterday! But I'm loving every minute of it!

I'm O positive. Fits me to a T.

IMHO, yes and no. A calorie deficit will allow for weight loss, but (at least personally) if my carbs are too high, I'm constantly hungry and it is next to impossible to be at a deficit. However, if I raise my fat intake and lower my carbs and there are days I'm eating too little because my appetite is in control. On a…

Now that you mention it, I've only gotten the blisters under the callouses when I've used chalk.
-
That is one of my favorite side effects too!! I find I need less sleep as well. Make a list of all the changes you are noticing, you'll find it useful later.
-
Bump so I can find this later!!

Everyone is different, but most find more fat works wonders. Mine is set to 50f/30p/20c, however I typically find myself eating 60/30/10. The first week or two of eating this way you will be tired (what's commonly known as the carb flu.) After that passes, you will feel amazing (and crossfit will be easier!)

Ok. I'll stop complaining that our box makes us do 3x the amount of singles.

I have a wheat allergy (opposed to a gluten intolerance). When I'm eating wheat, I have chronic sinusitis. When I stop eating wheat, the first 48 hours is my nose runs, itches and I sneeze like crazy. After a few days, I can breath so good. IMHO, it is the allergens leaving your system and your body healing.

Hot tea and cold water, lots of it. You are going through sugar withdrawl, it can last up to a couple of weeks but is the worse for the first 3 dasy.
-
Thanks everyone! I'm feeling a bit better today. My diet was at least 80% primal, maybe more, that's why it hit me so hard. I had a bad eating night yesterday and woke up with more determination today. So today is day 1 Whole 30 (it will be my third).
-
Ahh thank you for the where to find it!!! I love the idea except I'm not willing to pay $49.00 for the comminity (it's free here.) But if a MFP group starts let me know!

What is it?

It separates. Pop it in the microwave (or under hot water) for about 20 seconds and stir it up. It is then creamy like peanut butter.
-
I dip apples in it and drizzle over banana's!!!

I have not retaken my measurements, but my clothes are not fitting looser. My legs and butt show a noticable difference since I started and I can see small changes in my arms and stomach. I eat primal and typically allow one cheat meal a week. I was not following it that closely over the holidays (which I accept is part of…
