Congrats on doing something for yourself!!! I recommend starting to try to stay in your calorie range, and slowly adding or subtracting things. This makes things much more livable. So maybe first week cut out pop and focus on drinking water, continue tracking everything and try to stay withing your goal, once this is…

Udi's makes a pretty good bread, especially for toasting. IMHO, If you are truly a breadaholic, you may be best to give it up for 2 weeks and to get control of it. That is what worked best for me, but to each his own.

Invest in a good running sport bra. They are expensive but will strap those puppies down lol. I recommend: http://www.movingcomfort.com/Juno/350025,default,pd.html

That is just awesome, but I would like to add 11 pounds in 3 to 4 weeks is amazing and you should be very proud of yourself!!!

Chocolate, cinnamon or vanilla -carmel teas, all stop my sugar/sweet/chocolate craving for ZERO calories. I love it.

Green bags work wonders but there are certain things I do not like them for like bananas and peaches are an example. Wrap celery in tin foil and it will last a really long time. To keep produce the longest do not wash it until you are ready to use it, However, for some people if they don't wash, and prepare it ahead of…

I think my question may have been missed (I really do appreciate you taking your time to answer our questions!) I have been losing very slow 30 pounds over the last year. I don't eat wheat as I'm allergic and I stay away for wheat replacements as they are high in calories. I'm also trying to get refined/added sugar out of…

Thank you everyone. I think I will find another nice flat 5 k to sign up for (with flat being imperative.) LOL

I have been losing very slow 30 pounds over the last year. I don't eat wheat as I'm allergic and I stay away for wheat replacements as they are high in calories. I'm also trying to get sugar out of my diet. However, I notice on the days I don't eat sugar my carbs are low about 100 to 120 grams. But I also notice, I lose…

Thanks guys, time to find another 5k.

Minnoke, That's the way I am, I'm kinda miserable during (especially in high humidity) but great after.
-
OH yes it can. Personally, if I'm tired I have little control of my appetite. But as well, if your body is low on sleep it can affect your metabolism. IMHO, I think sleep, good diet and exercise are all equally important.

You look wonderful!!! I would like to thank you for posting this!! I see so many stories of people loosing so fast! I'm slow, I've lost 30 pounds in a year, and have 60 to go. You look amazing and you long term dedication shows!!!

Please cite information to back up that there is no link from your gut to serotonin. And I will do the same..... http://www.enzymestuff.com/serotonin.htm http://www.ehow.com/how_8696693_balance-serotonin-levels-gut.html http://www.puristat.com/braingut/serotonin.aspx Maybe I mis-spoke, serotonin is not controlled by your…

Serotonin is controlled in the gut not in the brain. So yes food help/hurt your moods. Typically sugar is the worst on moods, but if you have food sensitivies they can bother your moods too. My husband and I have never had donuts for breakfast without getting in a fight that day. Needless to say, we rarely eat donuts any…

^^^ This but I only do 10 minutes

I would suggest to stay away from fast food, it typically is not that good anyways (especially if you are used to unprocessed food.) I would try the regional favorites. Pizza in New York. Bbq, peaches and peacans in Georgia. In the Carolinas, again bbq and seafood (some of the best seafood I every had was in Charlestown…

That's why I have the attitude this time around I'm not going to do anything to lose weight that I cannot do the rest of my life. On Monday, I will celebrate my year with MFP. I started my journey about 1 week before so I'm right at a year. In one year, I have lost 30 pounds (26 with MFP.) My loss has been slow compared to…

I got this one off the boards: Oopsie Rolls (Gluten-Free Buns) 3 large eggs pinch of cream of tartar (1/8 tsp) 3 ounces cream cheese (Do not soften) Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Separate the eggs and add cream cheese to the yolks. Use a mixer to combine the ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites and…

If you work out in a gym go for the Polar f7. The Polar F4 will pick up other's heartrate and skew your results.

I am too a sugar addict. I fight it every day much like an alcoholic fights drinking, but it can be done. I have found I have several sugar triggers. The biggest sugar trigger for me is artificial sugar. If I drink a diet coke and "save" 200 calories over regular pop, I will eat at least double if not triple that in some…

Bump and thanks!

Thanks guys. I'm upset I started over but I am really concentrating on my form and that will hopefully get me through the rest.

I agree whole heartly. But the key is you can go back to your old ways or you will gain the weight back. Before someone has a cow, yes it is a simple equation of calories in/calories out. But if your insulin is out of whack (and if you have a big belly it is) you'll get hungry when your body has plenty of calories.

Great job!!! I'm a firm believer the slower you lose the easier it will be to keep off! Great job@
