Exactly! I noticed they added that whole bolded "do not try to disconnect and reconnect" part to their update, but they only added that AFTER this issue had already been going on for DAYS with no word from them on what was happening. Now they're bogged down with sync requests and are citing that as the reason why it's…

I'm doing 16:8 (skipping breakfast), and the weight is falling off. I've tried everything under the sun and IF is the only thing that leaves me feeling energized, not deprived, and inspired. :)

Star Wars/Star Trek/Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter geek over here! Also, my husband is determined to drag me into all things MCU. :)

Down 50 pounds would be nice, but I'll take 25. :D

From the USA, but live in France. :)

I can definitely relate! I'm 5'1" and 192 (down from 215). Looking to lose between 50 and 75 pounds overall. I hope to be down at least 15 by summer. Feel free to add me!

Nice! How many times a week do you go?

I can't speak on Apple, but I've had two Fitbits and both fell apart after a year. Complete waste of money.

I love Leslie Sansone's videos! I like to do the walks that incorporate the hand weights for strength training. Sadly, I think she's about to retire because in one of her latest videos, she introduced her new walk leaders.

This DEFINITELY helped me, as I was having the same issue. I've been using WW exclusively for months with great success (for some reason, I find WW points easier to track than calories on MFP, strangely enough). But MFP has the better scanning abilities via the mobile app, so this is the best of both worlds. Thank you!

Haha! And the Hottest Granny Award goes to... :)

The Mr. and I are delightfully childfree and have ensured we will stay that way thanks to a handy thing called a vasectomy. lol I enjoy children, but have no desire to have any of my own. My little nieces and nephews allow me to get my kid fix while having the luxury of giving them back to their parents when they start…

11:11am - 500 calories.

I set my activity level at sedentary precisely so that I could have the freedom to eat back my exercise calories whenever I feel the need. But yes, if you are setting your activity level above sedentary, then you should not eat back your exercise calories since you've already added them into your TDEE equation.

Once a month, right after Aunt Flo leaves the building. And that's only so I can be accurate with the BMR calculations. Otherwise, I use the tape measure and the fit of my clothes to monitor progress. :)

Henry Cavill was my Christian until people started mentioning Matt Bomer. Bomer is so beautiful it damn near hurts to look at him. Also, if ASkars has expressed interest in the role, I'm SO there. Love me some Eric Northman!

You're doing everything you need to do - your body is simply adjusting. It's been said here before, weight loss happens in months, not weeks. Also, chuck the scale as an indicator of fat loss. The only thing I use the scale for is for calculating BMR. Get a tape measure and count inches.
-
Don't feel discouraged! This is a journey that will test your patience like none other. It takes the body a bit of time to adjust to a new way of eating. Sometimes you'll eat by the book and the scale will show a GAIN. It's just all part of the process. In time, you'll get to where you want to be...if you stick with it. :)

Some of you are ridiculous. It's stuff like this that discourages people from exercise altogether. OP, ANY amount of exercise you can do is better than nothing. If you're wanting to be full-on ripped, then yeah, you'll need more than what you currently have planned (and you can build up to that over time). But if weight…

Sorry you're feeling scared. :( This definitely happens to most (if not all) of us at some point. The way I bounce back from major slip-ups is I tell myself, "The past is the past. It's over. It happened. You can't go back and change it. Today is a new day, so let's move on." Cheesy as it sounds, I say it aloud and it…

I'm so glad I found this thread! I spent years trying to fight PMS until finally I realized that I want what I want. I'm really good with my calories when it's not Flo season. However, I've tried drinking more water, substituting with healthier snacks, etc., and NONE of that works for me during that TOM. The reason why it…

Honestly, I don't like the word "diet" because I negatively associate it with fads/short-term/temporary fixes. I know that's not the proper, textbook definition of the word, but...oh well. For me, it is what it is.
-
This exactly. The only reason I bother with numbers at all is because I have to in order to track my BMR/TDEE. If not for that, I wouldn't even know how much I weigh because I don't care to get hung up on the scale. It's all about losing inches (which I suppose is another number, haha)!

I alternate between fat free milk and unsweetened almond milk. I only use milk for cooking and smoothies, so I'm not all that fussed about it.
-
Exactly. Sorry you're having a rough time, but no one knows what works for you better than YOU. That's why I tend to only focus on my food diary and not bother too much with input from the forum. I do give my $0.02 from time to time, but I don't frame my $0.02 as gospel truth like some folks on here tend to do. Do…

Dinner! Sadly, it's my only relaxation meal (during the week). Work leaves me no time to really settle in and enjoy my breakfast and lunch.
-
Once a month and only for the sake of updating my BMR. I use the tape measure to gauge loss.

I have a box of Splenda that I bought well over a year ago and it's still 90% full. I've never tried Stevia but I hear wonderful things about it. I obviously don't have any semblance of a sweet tooth, so honestly, I'd probably be fine with just regular sugar. You may as well, depending on how much sweetener you…

I have absolutely no complaints at all whatsoever since my "Zumba class" is me at home with the Zumba DVDs and the game for the Wii. ;)

Welcome John! :)
