  • HAHA I can so relate to the talk blocker. My one sister tells me that if he does not shut up I am going to come over and kick his butt.
  • I love many things about him but my favorite thing is how he makes sure that he calls me every morning before he starts his day to see how my day is going and tell me he loves me. He also met me at my heaviest weight and loved me inspite of it and is a huge support system for my weight loss. Annoying: He is very fit and…
  • Okay I am sorry to sound like a moron but what does NSV stand for? I know the end is victory but cannot figure out the rest. :blushing:
  • You are an emotional eater like myself and MANY others on this site. You are in the hardest part of the journey in my opinion and that is realizing you have a problem and finally setting your mind to get started. I struggled with thinking about all I had to "give up" when it came to food so much that I would quit so I do…
  • Having the friends is what helps me keep myself in check. It is the best thing I did by adding strangers and sharing in the journey. There are alot of us out there that support each other so if you need a friend you can add me!
  • You have come to the right place to track and get encouragement. You can add me if you would like to be friends and help each other out. :)
  • Unfortunately there is not one due to the way it varies so much with each person. I just started it this morning and I am estimating for now until I purchase a HRM which is recommended.
  • I struggled with the same question for a long time until I realized I just had to make it work. I am not sure the size of your family but for a household of three I was able to get my grocery budget down to 50-60 a week and that includes toiletries. I strictly shop sales and all meal planning goes around what is on sale. I…
  • LOL that made me laugh out loud! Totally had those moments!
  • First thing that popped up was the "semi-reasonably eating" maybe your eating too much or too much sodium intake? Diet is 80% of weight loss so make sure you are logging everything you eat or drink so you can see where you need to make changes....the other 20% is working out. *just my opinion*
  • I opened my diary to my friends for the mental accountability. Do I still have times I make poor choices...absolutely but I log them and I have not had one person be rude to me. I did it for me because knowing that someone is going to see what I ate is intimidating and that is what I need. I was a closet eater for far too…
  • Fruit was surprising to me. I had always done WW so I was used to them only being a couple points but when you break out the actual calories & sugars it was shocking to see that I was not doing myself alot of favors by eating alot of fruit. Kind of sucks because I used to make alot of fresh fruit smoothies so I have cut…
  • You came back today so obviously you are choosing not to fail! Good for you! Dust yourself off and keep going. Weekends used to always be my downfall but here is what helps me: 1. My weekly weigh in is on Sunday morning so that makes me stay in line Friday & Saturday because I don't want to show any gain on the scale. 2.…
  • Don't feel ashamed you came back didn't you? Write off the last few weeks and start up again today. It is not how many times we fall it is getting back up and keep going. This is a long journey and we are going to face challenges the entire way and even when we reach goal we will still face those challenges. Don't let one…
  • Yes yes yes!!! I love cooking from scratch and I LOVE Food Network...watch it all the time! We literally eat 2-4 new recipes a week. I also plan out all of my meals for the week and sometimes for a month at a time and often do once a month cooking. Feel free to add me and we can exchange some ideas.
  • Thanks for the info. I was just saying to my husband that Ab Ripper might be too soon for me too because it will kill my tailbone and back.
  • We did not want to pay that much either but I was lucky to find one new in box on craigslist by us for $55 bucks! Try searching there but beware of the copies make sure it is the original ones. I will keep in touch I am excited to see how it turns out.
  • We just purchased it yesterday and are starting it tomorrow. It looks awesome. I have heard Beachbody is the best place to purchase it but we were fortunate enough to find a new in box set on Craigslist for $55 bucks! Yeah love a bargain!
  • Wow it is amazing how many of these stories remind me of myself. I have been guilty of many of these same habits and thankfully am now learning to recognize them before they start. Food addiction is a really power thing and like I once heard someone say it is hard to quit because we need it to survive. You all are so…
  • I make my weigh in on Sunday morning so it forces me to make healthy choices on the weekends. They used to be my downfall until I started doing this and now it keeps me in line so I don't see gains on the scale. I also exercise everyday in some form during the weekend and Sunday is my only day off.
  • You can do it and you have come to the right place for encouragement and accountability. Track everything you eat, drink lots of water and add friends (you can add me). You need to have people around you that are in the same boat and that is what I love about MFP. When I want to snack I sit and read the message boards and…
  • Thanks for the advice. I was thinking P90x so I think I will try that first and then we I get to a lower weight try insanity.
  • He says he does not care if you cut him off as a form of manipulation and control. He knows what will get you and he also knows you are emotionally dependent on him and he is taking advantage of that. I have been right where you are with my husband and it took me finally loving myself enough to say enough is enough. I am…
  • I am from Northwest Indiana! Small world!
  • Where did you purchase yours?
  • Great job!
  • Yum thanks for sharing!
