You're welcome! It's too good not to share!

The nutritional info should tell you how many grams are in 1 scoop... probably 30 - 36'ish grams. I always weigh mine to be accurate.
-
I just did something similar the other night.... used chocolate protein powder, natural PB and some popped quinoa.

My 2 cents.. I wouldn't utilize nuts as a protein source. Although, they do have a few grams of protein in a serving, they are still considered a fat source, not a protein source.

Yes, HRM is your best bet! I can run 4 miles, pretty easily and at a pretty good pace. But, when I have to push that stroller with my 40lb son; it's brutal! I have the Polar FT7 HRM and love it! I use apps on my iphone to tell me my pace & distance. If you don't have a smart phone, you can buy a HRM that has built in GPS.…

Start doing negatives! Use a chair or bench to get up to the top of the pull-up position, then let your self down as slow as you can. Then get back up to the top and do it again. You can also just try to hold yourself up on the top position as long as you can. I agree with KDiamond; using the assist machine doesn't really…

It's very rare for someone not to like Quest bars. But, it has been known to happen. But, anyone in the fitness world and that wants to eat clean, LOVES these bars. There are many different flavors and 2 different lines... one is sweetened with sucralose and the other is sweetened with Erythritol. **This is from the…

Almost every bar out there is full of crap as you suspect! THE best bar out there nutritionally (IMO) is Quest Protein Bars. They can be found at some health stores or bought online. No other bar compares to it nutritionally! Low carb Low sugar High fiber High protein Gluten Free minimal ingredients Oh, and they taste…

You say you are eating every 2 hours...I would suggest you eat a little more at each meal and try to get where you can are eating every 3 - 4 hours. If you are hungry every 2 hours, probably aren't eating enough at each meal.

^ This! Costco chocolate chip cookies aren't that good IMO! If you want a cookie, go get a good one and make it worth it!

I  that you posted this!! THANK YOU!!

My hubby & I met online! Can't remember if it was Match.com or Americansingles. It's no different than meeting them anywhere else. Lots of frogs to find your Prince! Do some good screening and communicating before meeting. And always meet in a public place; don't let them pick you up from your house! Keep an open…

OUTSTANDING!!! Great work, Irene! :drinker:

Oh, and to answer the question, "is fruit unhealthy"? The answer is NO!!! Quite the contrary!

That does seem a bit more than "moderation". I think most recommend moderation to be 3 - 4 servings per day. If you like to eat a large quantity of fruit (and you do), then perhaps you can choose more of the ones that are lower in sugar: Strawberries, apples, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, papaya, peaches,…

Something else to keep in mind, you mentioned that you keep trying different diets/timing, etc. But, you've only been at this for 4 months. When you try to follow a new way of eating or make adjustments to the amount of calories you eat, you have to give your body time to adjust to that. I would pick one program and stick…

Hmm.... Good question! Hadn't even thought about WHY. (insanity!) I suppose I'm influenced by those that are picking out their paint & wall paper and all the while I haven't even poured my foundation! Seriously though, when I read how body builders & fitness competitors eat, I believe that if I eat like they do, I…

Thanks for re-posting! I read the article when you initially posted it. But, I find that I REGULARLY fall back into the habit of agonizing over everything! Note to self: STOP IT!! :grumble:

Quest Protein Bars - low carb, high fiber, high protein, low sugar, gluten free, minimal ingredients. About 170 - 200 calories depending on which flavor you buy. http://www.questproteinbar.com/ I haven't had a flavor I didn't like. My favorites are lemon cream pie, cinnamon roll and cashew coconut. Chocolate brownie warmed…

Well said!

This! You can't work the muscles as hard if you are already fatigued from cardio. And your form can go to crap if your muscles are already tired.
-
I do! If it's been over 3 hours since my last meal, I try to eat at least a small meal or snack. Otherwise, by the time I do get around to eating another meal, I'm ravenous and will overdo it.
-
Wish I could help you. But I'll bump so that someone else can! ;)

Really? The type of fiber in these bars isn't the type that causes bloating and stomach distress. (I don't know the correct nutrional info as to why). But, I do know that I have and do sometimes eat 2 or 3 bars in a day with no stomach issues. And I can't eat half at a time; they are too good and I have to eat the entire…

THE best bar out there nutritionally is Quest Bar protein bars. HIGH in protein (this is important), gluten free, high fiber, low sugar, low net carbs, minimal ingredients! And there are 2 different lines: the original line uses NO sugar alcohols (but uses TRACE amounts of sucralose) the all natural line uses NO artificial…
