I just turned 29 last month! My husband and I have only been married for 6 weeks, thus the not being ready to start trying for children. We'd like to wait about a year or so for that (of course, we will gladly welcome any little blessing that God chooses to give us, planned or not).

I have a good 50 lbs to lose! Diagnosed with PCOS in 2011, but didn't do anything about it until recently. I'm not on Metformin, but am on a low hormone BCP. I've recently switched to lower carb eating and limiting dairy, as the research I have been reading said this may help weight loss in women with PCOS. One of my…

Thanks for the tips! I've read a lot of your posts on many of the other message boards and they are very informative and helpful! I had my fasting insulin level tested at the end of last year and it was actually a 3 and I was told that that signifies I do not have insulin resistance. My testosterone levels were a high, as…

I know this may be hard to hear because upping your calorie intake is really a struggle when you're trying to see the scale go down (most people automatically think the less calories they eat, the more weight they'll lose), but I don't think you're consuming enough calories. I don't know what kind of foods you've been…

Click your "My Home" tab. Then, go to "Check-In" underneath that where you log your weight. At the bottom, right above the "Save Changes" button, there is a link that says "Edit Previous Entries". You can change your starting weight there and that should help by showing the pounds you've lost recently.

I was in a similar spot where my weight had gotten to my all time highest and the numbers on the scale didn't seem to matter anymore. I was discouraged that they were so high and frustrated that I "couldn't lose weight" but yet I was doing absolutely nothing to help that along. I was stuck in a vicious cycle of binge…

Yep... I loved the word "Empowered"! And I completely felt EMPOWERED yesterday when I walked into the kitchen next to my office and there were two full boxes of donuts from one of the best local donut shops! One of the boxes even had the lid left open and the donuts were starring at me when I walked in. The first things…

Hi everybody! I would love to be a part of your group! I am 26 and have struggled with my weight and body image since high school. Several months ago I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and it was so nice to finally have an answer as to why even though I was doing everything right (like eating right and…
