Do NOT call yourself an ugly duckling!! First of all, you aren't ugly! Second of all, if you call yourself ugly now, you'll never see yourself as beautiful no matter how much weight you lose. There are people out there who are tiny little things and are beautiful people, but because of their outlook on themselves, they…

I always stick to regular coffee for that very reason! Can't beat 5 calories in a medium coffee!

Tell him to make his own dinner..................... just kidding... kind of. But really... if he's not going to eat vegetables and requires a totally separate meal, then he needs to contribute to helping you out. It's all part of having a support system. But also there are some great ways to feed vegetables to a man who…

Ooohh! I love doing this! I've actually gone to the store and held the amount of "butter" I've lost! Let's see... I've looooost... 152 sticks of butter. Oot oot! :)

My sister had it done once. She said she would do it again if she had the money to keep going back. But it was definitely... uncomfortable, to say the least. :)

I love working out to Linkin Park... but that doesn't appeal to most people. I also listen to Shakira, Lady Gaga (just Poker Face and Telephone), and I also like "I'm a Slave 4 U" by Britney Spears. Not really a TOTAL fan of Britney, but there are a couple songs that just get me goin'! :)

That's really cool! Good to know, thanks! :)

I cry during the Biggest Loser show every single season! Just seeing people hurting and in so much pain (emotionally) makes me hurt for them. I may not have been morbidly obese, but I've been overweight and I've struggled (and still struggle) with addictions to food and all of the weight skeletons in my closet. So yeah...…

Ooh ooh! I really like your question! This should start a good thread. My top ten foods that are ALWAYS in my house are: 1) Raw Cashews 2) Grain Sweetened Chocolate Chips (which I eat w/ the cashews. so good.) 3) Rice Milk (I don't drink cow milk. ew.) 4) Yeast Free Oatmeal Bread (I have a bad yeast allergy.) 5) Mary's…

When I first started my weight loss journey (before MFP), everytime I did my Leslie Sansone DVD and she would say: "Alright good job. I knew you could do it!", I would start crying!! And this lasted for like... 6 months at least! I was so emotional over how far I'd drifted, but now how hard I was working to get back on…

Sugar is carbs! That's the most important thing to remember. Fruit is high in natural sugar (but it's still sugar) and so fruit is high in carbohydrates. Carbs are important to a healthy lifestyle, but they can also be a hindrance if you go over on your daily intake. So watch your sugar intake to help control your carb…

Use Google.com. They will do the conversions for you. :)

The nutrients and healthy fats in nuts can't be replaced by other things. You should definitely eat small amounts of nuts on a daily basis. I love cashews and have about a 1/4 cup of them each day. I also love raw pecans. Pecans have a lot of flavor. But be careful! Pecans are very high in calories, so make sure you…

Always eat lots of whole, fresh, "fatty" foods. Don't opt for light (a.k.a. fat free, low fat. low calorie, sugar free) because whatever they're taking out for it be labeled in such a way, they're putting in double of something else (whether that's more sodium, more sugar, more preservatives, more "fillers. It's just not…

I have a severe yeast allergy and so I can't have sugar, honey, molasses, agave nectar, or anything else like that. I hate stevia because of it's aftertaste. So I use Xylitol. It's really good, has no aftertaste, and it's an equal exchange. Try it! :)

It may seem like you have a long journey ahead, but time FLIES. And it will fly whether you (or anyone else) make good choices or bad choices. Time can fly by and you can realize "Oh crap... I gained more weight," or time can fly and you can realize "Wow! Look how far I've come!" So just keep that in mind and know that a…

Welcome and have fun with this site! I know I have! It's funny, your starting weight and goal weight are extremely similar to my own. My starting weight was 185 and my goal weight is about 140 (maybe a little lower, though). I hope you reach your goals soon!

I am dealing with that. I recently dropped quite a bit of weight all at once, so I'm running out of clothes. My husband kept saying we should go shopping and get me some new clothes, but I didn't want to do that until I reached my goal weight. But who knows how long that could be?? However I recently had a nice surprise,…

This website is the greatest thing for those who are wanting to lose weight, gain weight, and everything in between! You will love it! :)

I love to cook it up in a cast iron pan (or whatever pan you have) because it retains its juices. The best tool you could ever get for foolproof-juiciest-chicken-of-all-time is a meat thermometer. When it says 160 degrees, it's ready and juicy and delicious! (I know I know... the internet and cookbooks will tell you a…

Whenever I make food and it has dairy in it, I just substitute whatever they call for with Rice Milk, Oil, and sometimes Best Life Buttery Spread made with olive oil. I haven't run into any problems! I know that's not exactly what you asked for but I thought I would just share what I do. :)
-
I'm dealing with the same thing. It's not on my face, but on my shoulders and upper back. :/ So frustrating! Are you allergic to anything?? Have you ever been tested for food allergies? I know my problem turned out to be two more allergies I didn't know about on top of the ones I already was dealing with. It's worth…

No it's 2 oz after being cooked. Pasta servings are REALLY small and high in calories. So if you don't have a kitchen scale you should get one because it comes in handy a lot! :-)

Are you kidding?? That's like... my whole weight loss journey in a nutshell! I lost about 25 pounds and then just hit a wall and completely stopped with all of my good habits. I was down to 163 and went back up to 168 and felt AWFUL! Then I realized that I just needed to get back into it without any excuses! So I plunged…

You already are a motivation for others because you care and you are trying. So good job!! :) Now post a pic of yourself so we can all see who you are! :)

Ooh ooh! I know this one! :) Monounsaturated fatty acids target belly fat and burn it (Flat Belly Diet). So eat nuts, avocados, olive oil, and semisweet chocolate. It works! Trust me, I would know! I did the whole diet and it made a HUGE difference. :)

My sister had twin boys in March of 2008. They are SO ADORABLE and WONDERFUL! I wouldn't trade having twins in the family for anything in the world. They're almost 3 now and get more fun every day. :))

Yeah just weigh yourself in the same spot every time, don't put it on carpet or soft spots, and get naked in the morning to do it 'cause that's the best way!! :)))

I love to eat too! But what's great about being healthy is that you SHOULD eat... a lot! And the way you feel when you do what you should is tremendous. You won't regret making these changes for the better. :-)
