I had similar symptoms about two years ago and it was that I had developed gallstones. Mine become to the point it started happening almost daily and I had to have my gallbladder removed. My mom has gallstones right now and they are waiting to see how she does but she will eventually need to get her gallbladder removed.…

I rinse them then boil them and rinse again and then cook them with some spaghetti sauce. This is usually how I have them and I love them like this.

I agree Shirataki noodles are good and a good substitute for pasta. You just need to rinse them out of the package then boil them in water and then re rinse and then put them back on the stove and cook for a little longer and then add sauce or whatever you are going to make with it and they are yummy. Just don't smell them…

You also get your water from the foods you eat and from tea and coffee that you drink. So it isn't just straight water that it is calculating. I have heard that half of your body weight in oz is a good estimate of what you should intake with food and water drinking. Veggies have a lot of water in them as do soups and other…

Great job on attempting it!! Also having the attitude that you are going to continue to do it until you can do it without stopping!!

Protein Powder seems the way to go if your trying for that much protein. However, that seems a little high for a normal diet unless your trying to bulk up. You normally don't want more than 20 - 30% if you are female of protein unless you are body building. Not sure what your trying for. Just thought I would give you that…

The first thing that I do is to see if I really am hungry when I go to grab food. I will drink a big glass of water or half of a bottle water and wait 15 minutes to see if I still want the food. If not then you weren't really hungry you just wanted it out of boredom or emotional or some other reason. I also ask myself is…

Way to go. I just lost my first 10 pounds as well since starting MFP. I have a long way to go still but I was able to lose 10 pounds in the first month that I started this website.

We have a german shepard, a pit mix, and a doberman sharpei mix, all three dogs have been known to be aggressive. However, our dogs are very gentle around children and are very sweet and cuddly. They are very good to us and we ave raised them to be very well mannered. Our german shephard can be a little intimidating at…

I used to go barefooted everywhere even in gravel until I had my herniated discs now I have to wear them all the time with exercise. I don't wear them around the house they are the first to come off as soon as I get home but it seems like with any type of exercise I have to wear them or I have back spasms. I grew up in…

I have been on here for a few weeks now and figured I should introduce myself. I used to be very active on calorie count but got kind of sick of the posting wars and lack of support to newcomers that were shown over there. I heard about this site from a friend of mine at Church so thought I would give this one a try. I…

I have found on an elliptical trainer it is important for your back if you wear shoes but not so much on an stability ball. I didn't use to wear them when I was in PT using a stability ball and I don't use them for my core workouts at home on my stability ball but I do use them on my elliptical trainer. I am not sure about…

I use walking as my form of cardio. I use the walk away the pounds DVD's for indoor walking and I use my local colleges indoor walking track for when I want a change of scenery. I have had success over the past two years. My weight started out at 297 and today I am at 258. I watch what I eat and walk at least five times…

I buy organic oatmeal at the health food store in town and then add granola too it. So I make 1/2 cup of organic oatmeal and 1/2 cup of granola to it and make it with water so it adds up to 290 calories total for the meal and then sometimes I will add a banana to it for flavoring but a lot of times I like it plain.

I have two herniated discs and have back spasms. I use the elliptical and Walk away the pounds workout DVD's because they are low impact. I can't do the elliptical full out but I can use it and I usually can run it at a decent pace. I can usually do 2 miles in 30 to 45 minutes on the elliptical. As long as you ease back…

I do anywhere from the two to the four mile workout DVD's. They are normally 15 minute miles overall workouts so I put them in as walking.

Welcome!! I am from the UP of Michigan as well. I usually retain a lot of water from some of my medication and I have to really watch my sodium intake. Drink a ton of water. I usually drink about 96 oz of water a day and a ton of veggies not canned usually fresh or frozen because canned has a ton of sodium in them. Try…

Thanks everyone for your great ideas. I did take lots of fruits and veggies and some nature valley yogurt bars. I did have a little gain from some water retention because I know I did not go over calories but I know that it will take no time to get back into my routine and get that off. I appreciate the help!!

I am new to this board and DH and I are going camping this weekend in the woods with our popup. There are no services so it will be pretty much rustic type camping. Any ideas on healthy camping type foods that I can take to stay on track with my diet?
