I turned 40 yesterday so I completely understand. The lead up to it is definitely worse. Today, the day after, feels like any other day. I am actually in better shape than I was 20 years ago so I feel great!!! Eating right and exercising as we all know is key.

Nothing. I eat before I go. We buy a kid's popcorn, candy box, and small drink for my little one. But hubby and I do not usually indulge. It's only an hour and a half, at the most 2 hours. We can wait and have something healthy when we get home.

MFP does not have a way for you to adjust how a picture is cropped and so some pictures just come out showing only a portion of someone's body instead of the whole thing in the thumbnails.

I would highly recommend the Polar FT4 HRM. I've had mine for a few weeks now and it seems very accurate. I use it when I run with my 30lb toddler in her jogging stroller. It was one of the best purchases I've made because now I feel more comfortable eating back all those exercise calories without worrying about going over.
