A 665 calorie burn could be completely accurate for 45 minutes. However, the fact that your monitor said your HR reached 197 seems fishy to me. At 197 you'd wanna die. Lol so there may be a problem with it.

It's so hard to say whether it's accurate or not. For me personally, most of the exercises underestimate. When I do cardio for example, I put everything I have into it so that I can hardly stand up after, so my calorie burn is 2-3x what the MFP would estimate. A HRM is your only accurate way. I use cream and it picks up my heart rate right away. Im sure the gel would work great. Anything to keep those sensors wet. I think a 700 calorie burn in an hour is accurate.

Definitely get a HRM. Depending on the effort you put in, the calories on here could majorly underestimate your burn. According to my HRM I burn around 2-3x more than the calories listed.
