Hi! Sorry so tardy with the reply! I am ashamed to admit that right now I am 100% focused on calories. I haven't gotten to the point where I really factor in if I exceeded sugar, fat, or ate enough protein. I do want to get there but right now I concentrate on not depriving myself and staying within my calories. I do plan…

I have lost 78lbs and have 17 more until goal. This last 25 has been harrdddd and long! But I'm in it to win it!!

While ironing my Old Navy Flag tshirt for a cookout (I buy a tshirt every single year) it struck me that I was ironing a size MEDIUM. Last year this time it was a tight fitting 2XL. I am feeling proud of my 78 pound weight loss!

Thank you so much for replying! And I agree with you that MFP is such a safe place for all of our thoughts! While we may approach things differently (I really do want to get to the point where I truly monitor sugar, fat etc.) we "get" one another! This journey is one that you have to find yourself and what works for your…

I am speechless. You put into words some of my random thoughts I can't quite get out. As I continue my journey I have thought about how I will have to do this for the rest of my life (someone asked me if that was the plan) but you know what- that's okay. My kids have ADHD and they will more than likely take meds for a very…

You are my new best friend

We are MFP twins! I know exactly what you mean. I remember the first time I tried MFP I felt like I had to forbid foods. I worked out five times a week and dropped it quickly. But once I stopped the gym and returned to eating those foods (because let's face it food is good and a part of life!) the weight came back just as…

Yes! Let's be MFP friends!

Great job! You should be so proud of yourself!

I have read many things about weight loss and never caught this tip! Thank you for posting it as it reminds me of another reason to be patient about my weight loss- that it is okay for it to be one pound a week or even every two! I know it adds up but now can add it helps the skin not be even loser!! Such knowledge and…

This helps me when I have a week I don't lose- remembering it takes time- "Take it One day and one pound at a time". This one is also helpful to stay focused on the fact that I am NOT on a diet- I have a new way of eating and moving for the rest of my life: "I am not losing weight- I am getting rid of it!"

I will try it out when I cook tomorrow! I was the same way about the scanner at first...it was there but I just kept up with my manual entering even though hubby was like try that scanner thing out I bet it is easier lol. So I will absolutely try it!

I once read a magazine article that depicted three different women all wearing the same size!! It was so interesting... I am 5'6. I weigh 171 pounds and I also wear a size 10. My chest is a 34DDD. I wear a medium or large top (large if buttons because obviously I have to accommodate my girls!) I am actually lurking on this…

Thank you! And I do see many changes health wise like not getting so winded, more energy... I am though at least most of the time that person who doesn't see themselves as looking different. Don't get me wrong a side by side pic sure but so much still going on in my head- body image is a tough thing.. But as you noted…

I have to tell you the whole bra thing has me all in disarray. In reality they wanted to put me in a 34G but the store I was at didn't have it so they said do a 36DDD. I have always struggled to find the magic bra that really makes me feel supported but I guess that is another thread lol.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I really truly appreciate them-they motivate me. This week I didn't have a loss but was bummed even though I know it is natural and okay. I know the scale can be fickle even when you are focused, but yet it still seems to bother me. Returning to this post reminded me how far I have…

You were beautiful from the start but the healthier you is awesome and inspiring! I needed to read this because I was feeling down that I only maintained this week- but that in itself is a victory!! Congrats you did it!!!!

I am proud to be at over 300 and often ponder how can I NOT log in lol it will just be odd not too at this point!

Wow! Amazing you look great!

Agreed! There is a post I just recently read (as in last week) that really freed me! It was on the General Health tips and info board on MFP. It was two actually. One was about plateaus and the true definition. I have used that word if I don't lose any weight for maybe two or three weeks but after this article I can see…

You look fabulous! Great Job and transformation! How tall are you? We have similar stories I think but I started at 245 (size 20) in July 2015 down 73 pounds so far so now I am 172. For my frame it puts me in a size 10 but like you I still have more I want to lose but it is much slower now! I want to get to 150! We can do…

I really don't like to exercise at all. I have to force myself so what I do is make sure I move more. I park farther away. I have a fitbit and strive to beat others in competitions. Sounds silly but has worked for me. I want to get those 10,000 steps and in order to lose weight I strive for four days out of the week. I…

Congrats you look great! I also love one step and one pound at a time! I am going to use that one!

Hi! I'm 5 feet 6 inches!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I really do appreciate them!! I do not have a specific exercise routine because to be honest I really don't like to do it and find it hard to maintain a strict schedule with my job. I know it is taboo to say but it's true lol. I love the results of it though of course! I know I'm not…

I started MFP mid July! It has been slow and steady. Some weeks I lose 2 pounds others one. I have had some weeks with zero pounds lost but I stayed focused knowing I wasn't going to go off my "diet"- because I am not on one. I eat what I want when I want but once my calories are gone that is that! Thank you to everyone…

YES!!! I am a living breathing representation of what you said regarding you do not have to deprive yourself. I have been those people posting about the strict diet, cutting out bad foods in order to lose weight. Working out like a crazy person only to not be able to keep it up and eating hot wings again and gaining it…

LOVE this thread! Seeing my knee again-sounds weird but when I am in the bath tub I can now see an actual knee! Being able to cross my legs Not getting out of breath when using the stairs How it feels wonderful when people compliment you but yet somewhat embarrassing (hard to describe) The special feeling you have when…
