  • I weigh once a week, at the same time on the same scale. I always have an increase during that TOM and should probably skip that time but I don't lol.
  • I am sad to say that I have had TWO days/occassions where I said enough is enough. The first was in March1999 (Can't remember the exact day). There were several things leading up to it, like being in a wedding in June 98 and barely fitting my dress among the other size 2s and 4s my 16 was super tight. But the DAY occured…
  • YEAH YOU!! I am so happy for you! I could just feel your excitement! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  • Boy do I know how you feel. I posted something similar just last week. We can do this! Each day is a new one-so let's keep each other focused!!! :)
  • Thank you everyone for the advice and encouragement....I had a good day today and plan to have many more. I have also changed my weigh in day to Monday. I think this will help-it used to be Saturday, but this way I am also more accountable on the weekend! Send me a friend request to be a part of my Monday Support…
  • I used to be really good about weighing in only once a week. However, since I hit a plateau I am OBSESSED!!! But to no avail! I can't seem to get past 49 pound weight loss...I still have 15 pounds until goal! So for some reason I weigh every day! I think it is also because if I am honest the reason I have hit a plateau is…
  • I know EXACTLY how you feel! A lifetime weightloss loser/gainer this time around I have ALMOST reached the 50 pound mark. I am 2 pounds away-and 16 from goal..but yet something is not working. Despite all the weight I have lost I am finding it so hard to knock off the last few so I totally understand what you mean and how…
  • Thank you for all of the advice thus far! I really love my MFP community! It helped to read what you wrote. I think I am being too hard on myself. I really do feel comfortable at this size but I think I am getting caught up in what I THINK I should be. I am able to eat mostly what I want and still stay healthy so in the…
  • I am in pure awe! You look great girl! :)
  • That is so funny that I logged on and saw this post! I too am under the weather today. We have had major changes in the weather here and that has caused a summer cold to flare up. Anyway, I pulled myself out of the bed and went to the gym since I had not been for almost two weeks due to work commitments. I have always…
  • Thanks so much! I am downloading all suggestions as we speak! I LOVE MY DROID!!! :)
  • I can really see a difference! You look fantastic!!!
  • Do it ASAP. Write the number down and remind yourself how exciting it will be to revisit it next week after you have dropped your last 2 pounds! For me numbers are simply a way to measure my success~ If you think of it that way it makes it easier. Good luck!
  • No matter what the fast food place is I feel you can't go wrong if you order a child's meal. The portion size is smaller but then you can have what you want to. Here's what i find myself ordering" Wendy's: Small Chill, Baked Potato with low fat sour cream McDonald's: 4 piece chicken nuggets happy meal KFC: Laptop meal-one…
  • That is fantastic! You should be proud! :)
  • Both showed a three pound weight loss so I say use the home one since you will use it more frequently. When you go to the doc's just remember the difference.
  • Yeah for you! Fantastic job!!!!
  • You look great! I can see a big difference in your before/after pics. 51 pounds down! Weigh to go!!!!
  • I too can see the difference in your photos and I am sure you can tell in your clothes! Kudos to you 20lbs. ..1 lb...it is all something to be proud of you have to celebrate along the way so that you don't lose sight of your goal! Keep up the great work!
  • I agree with you! It took me awhile to get to the point that I realized that slow and steady wins the race but it does! Sure I could drop 3-5 pounds a week if I didn't eat and was exhausted, and also wanted to gain it back! OR it can be a pound a week still eating foods I love, exercising like a normal person, and lowering…
  • This is nothing new but my favorite-100 calorie popcorn with a popcorn seasoning. I love the seasonings with many flavors to change it up for me! And keep it lo cal!
  •   Hands down for me it is the clothing thing! I can't wait to buy cute suits for work instead of what I am stuck with because of my size. I may go broke after weight loss but boy will it be worth it!
  • I don't think eating pizza ruins it at all. Were you within your calorie guidelines? Something I am working on in regards to a lifestyle change as opposed to a strict diet (where I lose weight and gain it right back) is to know that I can have what I want but I have to be smart about it. I mean I think about people who are…
  • I am ALWAYS different the week prior to my cycle or duirng. So I always tell myself to continue on despite the scale. As many have mentioned this has to be a lifestyle change, so if it is indeed that I can't stop because the scale reads "oddly" one day. Just keep going and wait maybe two weeks to weigh again-I know hard to…
  • For tonight we will have Jennie O turkey burgers with fat free cheese on bun and reduced fat kettle chips (better than fries but I get the same flavor). I will also treat myself to Hawaiin punch-I worked out today! :)
  • 2909+my 23=2932 pounds I am so grateful for MFP!!!!
  • I can really identify with your post-I too get caught up with wanting quick results. I get frustrated with losing one pound because I think it needs to be 12 like on the biggest loser-but like your post said it is the big picture that matters and one pound is one fantastic pound! In the long run the approach you mentioned…
