I realised that I haven't posted an intro about myself before diving into the board and asking questions :embarassed: I joined last year, but I wasn't ready for the commitment I needed and stopped quickly. Now I'm back with a vengence and feel like nothing is going to stop me discovering a new healthy me! I have three…

I'm in NZ not the US and they are very unlikely to have anything like that here. Not that I'd be keen to try to do it with a bunch of others - running seems to be one of those things that there is a huge range of ability in and I'd hate to be constantly the last in a group, too demoralising. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I can't find it. I am trying to set a realistic goal and I notice that MFP recommends 1lb/week. I've chosen 1.5lb/week as I'm a bit impatient. I don't want to sabotage myself though. I've got heaps to lose, 33kg. So can I stick with 1.5lb/week or should I reconsider?
