  • Lol i actuallyed used to own a very small pet fat... i think it was the same fat as a chocolate bar would equate to. I kept it and set it out at work to look at (in its little tin) to avoid eating chocolate! http://www.mypetfat.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1
  • He has a shorter version if memory correctly serves me. I am a different body type but I didnt regain any of the weight I lost until about a year later. The only problem with it is you are eating CONSTANTLY. It is super restrictive so you have to not eat out while on it, like at all. Anyways its not really a lifestyle…
  • Count me in too!
  • Generally i spend about 300 calories for breakfast, give or take depending on life :)
  • I would love to join the team. Oh i guess i should add I started at 215 am currently 182 or 181. My long term goal is 150-135 depending on how I feel and look. Goooo Canadians : o )
  • Navigating a restaurant menu Choose restaurants that offer a variety of foods, rather than just fried foods.\\Ask for what you need, for example: *Ask questions about how the food is prepared. *Ask for half portions, or that half your dinner be put in a box. *Ask that sauces and salad dressings be served on the side. *Ask…
  • Wanted to share this, I typed it up a few months ago for another site. Vacations, celebrations and holiday gatherings offer breaks from routine, but you can meet a lot of food on these occasions! Not to worry. With some thought in advance, you can handle these speical times without disrupting your eating and activity…
  • Coping with Buffets *View the entire buffet lane. *Take a moment to decide what you want to select, then go through the buffet line once, picking the meal you have decided on. *Remember, you would have never ordered all that food off the menu, so don't feel like you are being deprived. stole this from one of my behavior…
  • I just want to say, after being on a lifestyle change for so long, instead of dieting if that makes sense, yes. I have struggeled with eating for emotional reasons as far back as I can remember, and had other eating problems that I have overcome. Sometimes eating is just eating, lots of other times it is not. It took me…
  • Awesome job girlie.
  • I am from Saskatoon but have been living in NC for 2 years.
  • I am a Canadian (Saskatchewan) living in North Carolina.
  • I never did nutrisystem, but I wanted to share with you. I have been on a "lifestyle change" for about 7 months now. when i first started I had oatmeal or cereal for breakfast and lean cuisine for dinner and lunch every day for about 2 months. It helped me because i learned proper portion size and then i startd doing…
  • Water, logging the calories of what you want to eat and Clean something disgusting, like a toilet and brush your teeth. Hopefully that helps you lose your appetite until the craving has passed.
  • This is interesting. Personally, I like to chew and eat food and most of the time am happy to replace other beverages with water. A big thing for me, I used to chug 3-4 cans of diet soda a day, then I went to the dentist. My teeth were terrible, I had no idea that the carbonation in them and in anything, like bubbly water…
  • I take gummyvites as well as their gummy calcium. I can't handle the chalkiness of regular ones. And I also agree, you need to be taking your vitamins with a mean, otherwise you will get an upset stomach. Hth!
  • My husband and I buy 2 separate milk containers. I drink skim he drinks 2%. I use spray butter when I do use it or I cant beleive its not butter if spray wont work.
  • I kept a few items without knowing it. They were packed in a box, and when I decided i was finally going to lose weight I didn't check in the outside storage. I gave away everything else that did not fit me that day. When we bought a house i left the box in the closet until about a month ago, and I was very surprised to…
  • I can't remember how long I have been on this board for, but I have been losing very slowly and gradually since May. I love all the knowledge and convos on this board.
  • ByeBye Wine. I am not a big drinker anyways. When I do drink if it doesn't taste like candy its not worth it so I just don't :P If it was between just chocolate or cheese that would be a far more difficult decision.
  • I totally agree. its like when was the last time you really honestly talked to someone and they were like.. OHMIGOSH! I lost 35 pounds popping XYZ! It only took 3 weeks.. Its sad people just starting out don't know any better because it is crammed down our throats.
  • Just keep on going one day at a time. I have had weeks where I went up a pound but by the end of the month had lost it and one or two more. The most important thing is not to give up! You still did an awesome job, you are still 5 pounds down, that is great! I also have been known to loose a little more weight than expected…
  • Yay! I was browsing through clothes at Target today while my husband was trying on some pants. I am a size smaller then the last time I bought stuff, and even then, It was a little big, but not big enough to go another notch down. Its nice to not have to pretend I hate clothes anymore :p
  • I have a broken one. I get weighed in once a month on a proper dr scale. Until then i can just kind of weigh myself at random intervals and guesstimate how much I have lost. If i think it says 3 pounds down I will only mark 1 or whatever until proper weigh in.
  • I would have a small slice that fit into my daily calories... and throw the rest away. yes I know wasting food, but I would rather waste the 30 dollars in the trash than spend 30 dollars on work out dvds. Another thing you could do is work out before you eat it. After all your hard work you might still want a small piece…
  • Myabe you should use a smaller bowl? IDK I use the prepackaged flavored one a lot, its 160 calories, plus half a cup of skim milk. Are you sure you put in 2 full cups of milk? Break out the measuring cups if you have too, but that seems like a lot to me.
