It is possible to lose weight just doing cardio. But strength training is really important. You can try body weight exercises or adding in a DVD you can do at home with some weights 2 or 3 times a week. I do Jillian Michaels DVDs and use 8 -10 lbs weights. I started with 3-5lbs though and am working up.

I have a Bowflex too and that is what i will be using since I have 4 kids and a hubby and no time for the gym. It's 20 minutes to the closest one 40 mins driving is not my idea of fun. I'd love to know if anyone has used it and seen results since it is all I have.

Hi all! I am Ivette. I'd love to lose 30 lbs by July and have been aiming for 33-38 by July 15th. My SW was 233 CW 183.2 GW is 145-150 with around 21% body fat give or take. I want to be strong and toned. If I feel like I have reached that at 160 maybe I will stop there. Either way I'd like to be at that place by July 1st.

Try lifting heavier weight, squats, lunges, those kinds of exercises. You are young and should have plenty of elastin in your skin for the bounce back. Might take a bit to get there but it will. Brazilian Butt Lift looks like a great workout too.

The machines never estimate your calorie burn accurately. Go with the HRM. The HRM has a chest strap and your personal info like height weight age etc entered so it will give you a more accurate number.

Might be time to invest in a HRM and enter calories burned in cardio based off the HRM. It is easier and you get an accurate number.
