  • Bad idea. If you snack while studying, you could get carried away. Study for a while and then take a dedicated break. Eat your food, drink some water and go back to studying. Measure out the snack in advance and give yourself a 15 minute break.
  • Break it down so it doesn't seem so overwhelming. You didn't say how much you want/need to lose, but let's say it is 20 pounds. So set your goal for 5 pounds. When you reach that, make it 5 more and so on. There are several calculators with BMI (metabolic rates, etc), weight charts for your height and so on.
