Smaller size clothes at dirt cheap prices… sweet! And jeans that fit right? OMG…do they make those? :D Glad you had an awesome shopping trip!

My go tos…. Baby carrots with 1 T light ranch dressing… or that spray dressing on occasion. Small can of tuna (70 calories) mixed with 1 T light ranch dressing, eat on celery. Fruit of your choice cut up with a spoonful or two of light greek yogurt… for extra sweetness, crunch up 1 PB/Dark Choc granola bar Sweet tooth … I…

Mm. Love this idea!!

Awesome job!! I love that you say to do this for your health first, and the body follows. I totally agree!

I drink fat free or 1% cow's milk usually only on the weekends to save calories during the week. Just my thing. I really like Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk… yummy, yummy on cereal or to mix protein shakes. I've used rice milk in cooking, but didn't really care for it. Have never tried coconut, but I'm not a big…

I LOVE spaghetti squash… but I really don't think it's that much like spaghetti, except for the way it looks. It's good with marinara sauce, but still don't think it's the "perfect" spaghetti substitute… if that's what you're expecting. I love a lot of veggie burgers, too, but I don't expect them to taste or have the…

I've had the FT7 for over a year and use it with every workout! I remember comparing it to the FT4 and as I recall the reason that I went with the FT7 is that I found it on Amazon for not much more than I was finding the FT4 and thought it was worth the difference. If there had been more of a price difference, I probably…

The dreaded shin splints. There have been times when I could work through them while exercising… they would go away. Other times, not at all and continuing just made them worse. So… you sort of have to read your own body. One thing that helped me is being sure that I did a good warm up before then a lot of leg stretches…

Awesome job. Keep it up!! What a success!

Nice *kitten*. Seems like the only appropriate thing to say. Oh, and maybe someday mine will look like that again. Maybe. LOL

Ditto for me, ladies! :flowerforyou:

The first couple of weeks after I became dead serious on taking off the weight, he was actually sort of angry. Not at me, particularly, just in general. It was weird. It wasn't like it was a surprise to him… I'd made it clear what my intentions were. I told him that I wouldn't eat some of the things he cooked (the man…

I started doing as many as I could on my toes … usually 3 or 4, but I'd been doing other strength training before starting… then at failure (well, before I fall flat on my face - which I did a couple times and decided it was not for me), I drop to my knees and do as many as I can. I'm not a push up expert by any means, but…

You look like you've lost a lot more than 55 lbs! The workouts are definitely showing! WTG! You look amazing.

Portion control is definitely key. Sometimes I like to grate it so that it goes "farther". Sometimes I just like to chunk it up so that I get a few delicious bites. Oh, and Sargento has some 'ultra thin' sliced cheeses that are perfectly awesome for sandwiches. There is no problem with eating cheese as long as it fits into…

I'm sorry you feel this way. When you are on a site such as this you really have to take the good with the bad, the serious with the flippant. Many times it can be humorous, and often you will get gems of advice. :) I think the comments really may have been meant as helpful. It's a learning process. Rather than be…

Odd. I have seen it in almost every grocery store I've been in… from the fancy, to the speciality, to the regional, and even Walmart. I've been really impressed lately with the number of choices in natural and organic butters. Just about anything you want right there next to the Jifs and Peter Pans!

If you're just starting your fitness journey, then I say just start out with the default %s that MFP calculates. If you have a significant amount of weight to lose (more than just 10-15 lbs), you will lose weight, pretty much regardless of your %s due to sheer calorie deficit. However, if you are doing any SERIOUS strength…

AWESOME job! I have to be really careful and not let the bad choices override the good choices when eating out! One of my favs is the "New Orleans Seafood" at Ruby Tuesdays with the roasted spaghetti squash and a salad as sides. It's soooo good and fits right in just about any day for me!

Sock Monkeys always gave me the creeps. They look evil… no wonder they keep the other monsters away.

It's what works for you! If you can consume that many calories in the morning and still meet your goal for the day… good deal! Some people prefer eating big breakfasts, some big lunches, some big dinners. Personally, I like to spread my calories out across the day… more of a "grazing" style in a way, I guess.

Hot mama! You go, girl!

^^ This. They may honestly be concerned, or maybe a bit jealous. :)

Awesome job! Just awesome!

Good for you! People where I work make fun of me (all in good humor) because I cut up everything into bite size chunks and eat it with a fork… bananas, apples, whatever! I do that because it's less messy. Oh, and it's easier to get a bit of yogurt in every bite if I want to drop a spoonful or two on it. They also make fun…

Donny Osmond's first solo album. Yes, it was vinyl! I was maybe 8 and my older sister and I pooled our allowances to buy it! Donny was maybe 13.

I love it! I definitely noticed a difference in my hands/wrists as my rings and watches became too big to wear! You look fabulous now. Great job!

Start at that and eat your exercise calories back. If that doesn't work, adjust it. I found MFP's "default" settings to work well for me early on… then as I was nearing my goal weight, I had to start making adjustments.
